Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a alimentos, tales como alimento para lactantes y niños y suplementos dietéticos para lactantes y niños. La invención proporciona una composición que comprende una fuente de lípidos, una fuente de carbohidratos y una fuente de proteínas, caracterizada porque la composición adicionalmente contiene la cepa B. lactis depositada bajo el número ATCC 27536 y la cepa L casei depositada bajo el número ATCC 55544. Tal composición contribuye a la resistencia general en particular con respecto al paso no deseado de patógenos y la incidencia de enfermedades respiratorias en niños.
