Abstract
Un aparato (1) y un método de espesamiento adaptado para líquidos que transportan partículas suspendidas, tal como lechada que contiene minerales, cuando existe un tanque (2), donde el depósito de sólidos se produce, un pozo de alimentación (4) que incluye una cámara que cuenta con medios para la recepción del material alimentado (11), tal como lechada, y por lo menos una salida (5) en comunicación fluida con el tanque y medios para distribución del material en el tanque, medios para la entrega del material alimentado (11), por lo menos lechada, dentro del pozo de alimentación, cuando al interior del pozo de alimentación hay dispuesto un espacio de mezclado (12) separado para el material alimentado (11), cuando existe dispuesto por lo menos un elemento horizontal (7, 15, 22, 23) que alcanza, por lo menos parcialmente, la sección transversal del pozo de alimentación, espacio de mezclado desde el cual se permite al material alimentado (11) fluir hacia dentro de la otra sección (14) del pozo de alimentación.
