Abstract

Un método para producir un reporte de investigación de capas subterráneas que comprende: arrastrar simultáneamente un transmisor de campo EM y una fuente sísmica detrás de la embarcación, arrastrar al menos un cable submarino por detrás de la misma embarcación, dicho cable marino o cables marinos teniendo receptores de campo EM para medir el campo eléctrico y receptores sísmicos para medir la respuesta sísmica; aplicar un campo EM a la capa utilizando el transmisor de campo EM y detectar la respuesta de campo EM utilizando los receptores de campo EM; aplicar un evento sísmico a la capa utilizando la fuente sísmica y detectar la respuesta sísmica utilizando los receptores sísmicos; analizar las respuestas de campo EM; analizar las respuestas sísmicas y reconciliar las dos respuestas, con el fin de producir un reporte en presencia y naturaleza de la capa.
