La presente invención se refiere a métodos para una liberación sostenida y a largo plazo de flavonoides, en particular flavonoides conteniendo ramnosa, y para prolongar la toma de dichos flavonoides en el tracto gastro-intestinal. Se refiere además a composiciones comprendiendo dicho flavonoide y ?-ramnosidasa. También comprende composiciones comprendiendo herperidina y 7-glucósido de hesperetina.
