Abstract
Se proporciona el uso de WNT5A, o un fragmento o derivado terapéuticamente efectivo de la misma, en la preparación de un medicamento para el uso en la prevención, reducción o inhibición de la cicatrización. Se proporciona también el uso de WNT5A, o un fragmento o derivado terapéuticamente efectivo de la misma, en la preparación de un medicamento para el uso en la prevención y/o tratamiento de un trastorno fibrótico. Los aspectos adicionales se refieren a los métodos mediante los cuales puede ser prevenida, reducida o inhibida la cicatrización, y mediante los cuales los trastornos fibróticos pueden ser prevenidos y/o tratados. Las cantidades terapéuticamente efectivas de WNT5A, o sus fragmentos o derivados, que pueden ser utilizadas en los medicamentos o métodos de la invención, son también proporcionadas.
