Abstract
La invención se refiere a un proceso para la reducción de la viscosidad a hidrocarburos pesados mediante el uso de reductor de viscosidad.Los hidrocarburos pesados se encuentran en yacimientos petroleros en el subsuelo, y debido a sus propiedades físicas de alta viscosidad requieren gran cantidad de energía para su transporte a la superficie y en los ductos.El objeto de la presente invención es proveer un proceso para lograr la reducción de viscosidad de hidrocarburos pesados, mediante el uso de tres reductores de viscosidad cuyo elemento principal es un aceite vegetal renovable, eliminando así los altos costos de inyección de vapor de agua o compuestos químicos derivados del mismo petróleo.El presente proceso utiliza un aceite vegetal que se obtiene de una planta del género Jatropha y de las especies Curcas, y pueden preparase reductores de viscosidad a partir de este aceite, utilizando metanol, ácido fosfòrico o ácido clorhídrico.Estos reductores de viscosidad pueden aplicarse en diferentes porcentajes al hidrocarburo pesado, según la viscosidad en centipoise que se desee obtener.
