Abstract

En esta descripción, se describe un sistema y método de modulación sin portadora que utiliza filtros SAW como un modulador, además de su uso convencional como filtros para limitar en banda un sistema de UWB. Este sistema y método está diseñado para ser empleado con cualquier tipo de modulación de ciclo de entero, de banda ultra-ancha o de impulso, y de manera particular está diseñado para trabajar con un método de modulación llamada, xMAx. Esta técnica explota la respuesta de impulso del filtro SAW, produciendo un sistema de radio de impulso sin portadora con un ancho de banda limitado, un bajo promedio de energía, pero una alta energía pico.
