Abstract

La presente invención se refiere, en términos generales, al campo de la biología molecular y se refiere a un método para incrementar el rendimiento de plantas en comparación con plantas de control. Más específicamente, la presente invención se refiere a un método para incrementar el rendimiento de plantas, que comprende la expresión incrementada en una planta de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de factor de trascripción de dominio MYB (enlace DNA) (MYB-TF). En una modalidad particular, la presente invención se refiere a un método para incrementar el rendimiento de planta que comprende la expresión preferentemente creciente de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de MYB-TF en el endosperma de la semilla de una planta. La presente invención se refiere también a plantas que tienen una expresión incrementada de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de factor de transcripción de dominio MYB, así como plantas que tienen preferentemente una expresión incrementada de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de MYB-TF, así como plantas que tienen de preferencia una expresión incrementada de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido de MYB-TF en el endosperma de semillas, dichas plantas tienen un rendimiento incrementado en comparación con plantas de control. La invención ofrece también constructos útiles en los métodos de la presente invención.
