Abstract
Un metodo y aparato para proveer potencia inductora armonica, y muy particularmente para suministrar pulsos de corriente que proveen una cantidad deseada de energia de pulsos en armonicas de alta frecuencia a un circuito de carga para calentamiento inductor de un articulo. Al controlar la forma y/o frecuencia de esos pulsos de corriente, el aparato y metodo se puede usar para incrementar la tasa, intensidad y/o potencia de calentamiento inductor suministrada por la bobina de calentador y/o incrementar el tiempo de vida o reducir el costo y complejidad de un suministro de potencia de calentamiento inductor. De importancia particular, el aparato y metodo se pueden usar para incrementar significativamente la potencia inductivamente suministrada a una carga ferromagnetica u otra carga inductivamente calentada, sin requerir un incremento de potencia en la bobina de calentador. Esto permite nuevas aplicaciones de calentamiento, y en algunas aplicaciones conocidas, reduce el consumo de energia o requerimientos de enfriamiento y/o incrementa el tiempo de vida de la bobina de calentador.
