Abstract

The invention refers to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology.The device for senile cataract treatment includes a syringe (1) with needle (2) made of two segments, one proximal of a length of 9 mm is bent at an angle of 135° with respect to the longitudinal axis of the syringe, and one distal of a length of 3 mm is perpendicular to said axis.The method consists in that it is made an incision at the limb's level, it is opened the anterior chamber and it is introduced sterile air by means of said device, then with the tip of the device's needle it is carried out the anterior circular caplsulotomy, there are introduced 0,3 ml of sterile air under the remaining capsule of the lens and with the tip of the device's needle it is divided the lens nucleus into two fragments, afterwards it is implanted the artificial lens.
