The invention relates to a process for storage of horticultural products: berries, fruits, vegetables etc. in a modified gaseous medium (MGM), permitting to provide a reliable safety not only at a long-term storage, but also at transportation.Before storage the horticultural products are maintained during 12...48 hours in an atmosphere containing 1-methylcyclopropene. After that the products packed in gas-impermeable polymer materials are stored at a low temperature.The process permits to prolong the storage life of the horticultural products.
