Abstract
La présente invention concerne une plante <em>Cucumis melo</em>, ladite plante comprenant de manière homozygote dans son génome un allèle mutant du gène staygreen (sgr) sur le chromosome 9, ledit allèle mutant du gène sgr comprenant au moins une mutation de perte de fonction par rapport à la séquence d'un allèle sgr de type sauvage (SEQ ID NO : 1) et ledit allèle mutant du gène sgr conférant une stabilité de couleur à l'écorce des fruits de ladite plante à maturité et/ou après la récolte, par rapport à une durée de conservation non-longue isogénique (non-LSL) de la plante <em>Cucumis melo </em>qui ne comprend pas ledit allèle mutant. L'invention concerne en outre des parties, des cellules et des graines desdites plantes, ainsi que des méthodes et des procédés associés.
