Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé (1) permettant la combustion de matériaux (x) et comprenant les étapes suivantes : (a) insertion des matériaux (x), de préférence compactés, dans une chambre de réaction (3) et fermeture de la chambre (3); (b) injection d'un flux de gaz combustible et d'un flux correspondant d'un gaz comburant, le rapport stoïchiométrique entre lesdits flux étant correct, dans la chambre de réaction (3), de façon à activer la combustion des matériaux (x); (c) poursuite de la réaction thermochimique des éléments oxydables, par exemple le carbone, avec l'oxygène présent, sans introduction d'aucun gaz supplémentaire; (d) injection de gaz comburant pour alimenter les réactions thermochimiques des éléments oxydables présents dans les matériaux (x), jusqu'à ce que la température cesse d'augmenter; (e) ouverture d'un papillon des gaz (5) pour expulser les gaz, tout en poursuivant l'introduction de gaz comburant avec une pression sensiblement constante jusqu'à oxydation de tout le carbone restant, pyrolyse des oxydes fortement liés et oxydation des métaux présents.
