Inspired by James Zhan’s Changelog. I don’t update as much or as often, so changes will be noted weekly.
10th - 16th August 2026
Design:
- Added titles to previous/next links thanks to AngryBunnyman’s clever customisation post.
3rd - 9th August 2026
Design:
- Made links italic and in Cooper* font.
- Changed italics back to Concourse to avoid confusion with links.
⚙️ Issues:
- Fixed the contact form - while testing a new feature, I’d accidentally removed a mandatory field and submissions were failing.
27th July - 2nd August 2026
Design:
- Names and links in guestbook have been centred.
- Changed italic font to Cooper*.
- Made blockquote and blog list backgrounds stand out more.
- Changed the headers colour from #8A79C5 to #C5788D and moved the former colour to links instead. This is to provide a better visual experience for readers with colour-blindness.
✍🏻 Content:
- Expanded and tidied Colophon page.
- Totally revamped the Now page to a look like a changelog.
- Removed Photolog page in favour of sharing photos as individual, short-form blog entries.
20-26th July 2026
Design:
- Lightened blockquotes and image captions by reducing border thickness to 1 and making them dashed instead of solid.
- Mobile readers will see a slightly heavier body font weight to improve clarity.
- The reading experience has been optimised for those with astigmatism to reduce halation, particularly in dark mode.
✍🏻 Content:
- Removed Roadmap from this page as when I have an idea I tend to do it straight away.
- Added a Postroll.
- Removed latest snippet and photo from homepage to make it less busy.
13-19th July 2026
Design:
- Added reading time to posts.
- Removed section headers from homepage as felt they were unnecessary.
- Changed styling of the Snippets page to fit in with the rest of the site.
Added a light/dark mode toggle to header, very kindly created by Robert.- Redesigned navigation bar to accommodate the light/dark mode toggle.
- Removed light/dark mode toggle as it doesn’t work with my auto light/dark pictures.
- Added new icons to the navbar to balance the main site links and provide quick access to others.
✍🏻 Content:
- Updated information in the Family and Software sections.
- Removed the Colouring page as nobody visited it.
- Put historical Now entries into separate posts for tidier archiving.
- Changed site resources page to colophon in footer and added changelog.
- Made a gallery of previous designs for OnlineGoddess.
- Wrote an AI Statement and added link to footer.
6-12th July 2026
Design:
- Switched font from Recursive to Concourse.
- Reduced weight of title and headers for a cleaner, sharper look.
- Removed underlines from links, also to look cleaner.
- Slightly adjusted font & background colours for clarity.
- Removed font smoothing in CSS as it was making fonts look too thin.
- Adjusted font sizing in footer and blog links.
✍🏻 Content:
- Added key tags on the homepage.
- Tidied up the blog links page.
- Created the BearCats community gallery.
