good game but one question 

how does angels work in this world? 

there's Legion and Lucifer who are humanoid but there is the put who is the monster form of angels.

hey, thanks for playing! that's a good question. in this game, you can think of it like the word "Angel" refers to a job title. only the people who work in the "office of Heaven" are Angels. so the monsters are not angels, their design was just inspired by that lore. we call the monster form "Seraphs" instead. they are more like mythical creatures with their own unknowable wills and powers.

the way the rhythm minigame works, you can just spam click the entire time and it'll hit every beat with no penalty. idk if adding an actual penalty to missing the beat would be a good idea, but adjusting the rhythm thing so you cant just spam it might be a good idea?

Hey, thanks for commenting! That's a good thought. For this first release, we definitely wanted to lean on the forgiving side, in the spirit of fun. But we'll definitely take a look at its spam-ability in the future. We are planning on expanding the amount of areas in the game where you can do rhythm stuff, too.

Whoa! What an amazing clicker game!
The graphics were beautiful, and having the story serve as a clear goal really boosted my motivation—it was so much fun.
I’d also love to be overwhelmed again by Lucifar’s comeback.
I wasn’t quite sure what the angel monument on the far right after a reset was about.
Does it simply grow as you earn wings at Noah’s Market?
Anyway, it was incredibly fun and I’m super satisfied meow~!

Yes, the Angel at Noah's Mart is just meant to be a sort of companion that helps you reach the goal more quickly. We are thinking of having a different variety of animals in the future.

I tried to leave a comment on YT, but we apologize you were unable to save!! We had not yet added it when you played...but just last night, we released a new version of the game with a save feature, as well as some other quality of life improvements, and a dialogue exchange with Lucifer! 🫢

In the future, we are absolutely planning to have Lucifer come back and make it much harder to win the contest!!! She won't give up so easily... We hope you'll be here for the conclusion. Thank you again!!

Hi can't get the downloaded version to run

hey, we're sorry to hear that! we just updated the file, so you could try again with the new version if you like. let us know if you're still having a problem opening it and we will do our best to investigate.

Very fun game, 100% recommended,

(some things to note, also last one is bug but late esq game so to not spoil it i put it last)

1 I do think the clunciness is sometimes a bit annoying, but I have seen in another comment that your already fixing that.

2 I also think that some prices scale a bit to fast, (for example cherub's) and that the value of getting them decreases incredibly fast.

3 Another thing, I did not know (atleast in the beginning) what a cherub even was, I might be stupid, but even on refresh I didn't see anything that made it so I knew the grey goblins were cherub's (also completely missed them as they are pretty small). So maybe something to make more clear?

4 Now one of the bugs: the egg eye monster thing's thirth upgrade can go negative (atm its at -6s). It would surprise me that under 0 seconds is intended, even 0 seconds is pretty unique for a low but is still logical.

5 Also the upgrades are pretty useless, as in they are so overpowered you can beat the game with the first 2. So it isn't even needed to get the other's.

6 Another thing with the upgrade's, 10milion souls is a good end point, but it is wierd that you can't unlock everything before you "complete" the game. (atleast if your just trying to get everything, not just go afk and not try to finish).

7 I also found it a bit confusing with the settings, as you said in the metronome it can be toggled in settings, but you just need to press the metronome.

8: scaling of resource gain is sometimes very very fast, and sometimes just so incredibly slow, like in the beginning its pased pretty well, then it balloons, and then it just gets stuck, increases a lot, and then flatlines. Maybe a bit more consistent in the middle?

This does not take from the game, as I enjoyed (nearly(just that one time it took long to process)) every minute.

Also the art of this game is masterfully made. I think it's one of the best styled idle games that ive seen in a while.

I wish you all success in making this game even better than its current state.

I am also willing to translate to dutch, and half into french (as in not to localised but still a bit better than google translate, if someone is actually french it is way better to give it to them). -> just comment here i check notifs a lot.

hi, knuffelmac! thanks so much for all of your helpful comments. we're so glad you enjoyed the game. we're a team of two people only, and the artist worked very hard on the visuals, so it's great to hear that those stood out for you. and that you enjoyed the game a lot overall! each of your feedback points is fair, and we will be addressing them individually as soon as we can.

we actually have an update coming out in the next day or so with a good portion of adjustments, but we will continue to develop the game for about another month at least. thank you again. we will certainly keep you in mind when the time for translation comes. (also- we have fixed the negative monster upgrade!)

We really appreciate you saying all of that! The things we like to make are kind of weird, but we work hard and care about them a lot... Thank you so much for your support. We'd be delighted if you were able to play Emblems someday, and are very happy you thought to check our page for other games! Emblems is our longer-term project which has been going on for a few years. We wanted to take a couple of months away from it to create something shorter, but we'll be going back to it soon. why the fuck did this game make a 3 gigabytes log file

oh my goodness! we have never seen that happen before, apologies 🙏 ours are only 2kb. hmm... if possible, could you check: is there something at the bottom indicating what the problem was? or, is there something that seems like it is repeating over and over again?

I couldn't open it, the 2 gigs of log crashed any text editor I threw it on, so I just deleted it.

no worries, we will continue to look into it... we did see from other folks with this issue that it could possibly be due to using a VPN while the game is active? we have no idea why that would be the case, but apparently some unity games cause this. we did just update the game, so unsure whether it would happen again or not. in any case, thanks for trying to check the file!

No VPN, and it was the downloaded version.

Good game with some weird design choices.
Prestige was basically not a requirement other than unlocking the next step. the rhythm element adds nothing to the game.
neither does clicking creating an object you then need to stop clicking to collect. why not just collect directly instead of adding that? the placement mechanism for cherubs is... hit and miss.

oh and collecting souls being utterly meaningless in this version feels bad.

Thanks so much for playing! These are fair points. Admittedly, some of the "weird choices" were likely because this is a 1-month jam game and we ran out of time to implement our full plan! 😅 But for certain, the resource magnet will be adjusted to reduce/remove the need to release click, and the cherub hitboxes will change to make stacking easier. We agree the number of souls needs to be the trigger rather than the building of the greater crystal. We are also working on more content for goals beyond the initial "soul race".

Game good, me like. Beat with one prestige.

needs an 'assign cherubs' button, it's really awkward to physically place them on the structures

hey, thank you for playing! there's currently a prestige unlock that lets you assign cherubs using right-click. it may have been hidden though (we just changed it so you can preview the unlocks sooner).

we do agree it's a bit weird to assign cherubs in general. we've just added a quick notice in-game to let folks know that you can zoom in with the scroll wheel/new - + buttons on-screen. there's also an upgrade at the Dorm to carry multiple cherubs at once!

we just put out an update that should fix some of the integer issues. we are also prototyping a save function, which will likely be added at the end of this week. agreed that the Water needs some more interesting uses! for now, i've added a new upgrade on the Tower to speed up the Study.

Game borked out on me after second return, wouldn't let me build the light crystal. Jumbled text and numbers. looked like the button and text for build light crystal and build greater light crystal were trying to occupy the same space.  Loved the game up to that point though.
