Russell Masters shared thisAre you running Google Ads for your #restaurant?Russell Masters shared thisGoogle is one of the most popular online search engines with over 3.5 billion searches per day. 🤯 If you’re a restaurant owner, you can create a Google ad to help customers find your business more easily. 🍴In this blog post, we’ll show you how to create a successful Google ad for your restaurant: https://lnkd.in/gYRSrBzB #restaurantowner #restaurantownerlife #restaurantmanger #restaurantmanagerlife #restaurantadvertising #restaurantmarketing #restaurantmarketingtips

Russell Masters posted thisWhen you go out to eat, how do you decide what restaurant to go to? Chances are, you google “restaurants near me,” and then check the reviews to see which ones have the best service. So then, with your own restaurant, are YOU using reviews to their fullest potential? If not, here’s a look at why you should. Online reviews provide potential customers with valuable information about a restaurant's quality, service, and overall experience. According to a recent study, 90% of consumers read online reviews before visiting a business, and 88% trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations. It’s like free advertising for your restaurant! Positive reviews can help increase a restaurant's visibility and attract more customers. When people search for local restaurants on Google or other search engines, businesses with higher ratings and more positive reviews are likely to appear at the top of the search results. This means that having a strong presence on review sites like Yelp or TripAdvisor can help drive traffic to your restaurant. But what about negative reviews? While no business wants them, negative feedback can actually work to your advantage…if you handle them correctly. Responding promptly and professionally to negative feedback shows that you value customer satisfaction and are willing to address any issues that arise. It also gives you an opportunity to turn a dissatisfied customer into a loyal one by showing that you take their concerns seriously. Also, remember: people are more likely to leave a review after a bad experience rather than a good one. If you can find a way to incentivize people to leave good reviews–with a free dessert or appetizer on their next visit, maybe–then you’ll be looking at lots of good reviews–and lots of people deciding to give your restaurant a try. Online reviews are here to stay, so why not use them to your advantage? By maintaining a positive reputation through strong ratings and responding appropriately to feedback, your restaurant can use this powerful tool to attract new customers and build long-lasting relationships with existing ones. So if you're not already leveraging the power of online reviews for your restaurant, now is the time! #restaurant #restaurantowner #restaurantmarketing

Kindness does not = weakness. It changes lives. And drives results Being a kind leader doesn’t mean being soft. It means being intentional in how you guide, inspire, and support your team. It doesn’t have to be grand gestures. You can: ✔ Celebrate small wins ✔ Listen more, speak less ✔ Be patient with mistakes ✔ Respect work/life boundaries ✔ Show empathy in tough times ✔ Offer genuine praise regularly ✔ Ask about personal well-being ✔ Offer to help without being asked ✔ Be transparent in your communication ✔ Provide growth and learning opportunities What people remember most is how you made them feel. A kind leader inspires their team to be their best. Not just by what they say but by how they lead. Help create a positive work culture where people feel safe to innovate and grow. Why You Shouldn’t Rely on a Paid AI Tool Alone for AEO & SEO AI tools are powerful. We use them. But here’s the reality — AI software is a tool, not a strategy. Over the past 12 months, we’ve seen more NZ businesses sign up to paid AI platforms promising: “Instant SEO rankings” “Automated AEO optimisation” “One-click AI content dominance” “Rank in ChatGPT overnight” And while these platforms can generate content, they cannot build authority, context, or commercial strategy. That’s the difference. AI Doesn’t Understand Your Business It predicts language. It does not: Understand your margins Know your sales process Align marketing with your revenue targets Integrate SEO with paid media Adapt to NZ market conditions AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) is not about pumping out AI-written pages. It’s about positioning your business as a trusted, structured authority that AI systems choose to reference. That requires strategy. Llearn more: https://lnkd.in/eGwc8PfA

Welcome to Agentic Commerce... blah blah blah.... if you put UCP up the agents are going to send you a million dollars - horse shit. ChatGPT has a product search, do you think it is a good practice for the agent to return your 1 store out of 28000 others on Shopify selling apparel? ChatGPT has an advertising network, do you think they are not connected? Ask Google Shopping. The overblown nature of Agentic Commerce and being found and the magic of a transaction is just that, full of hot air. This is still an SEO game. Search Engine <> Google or Bing = Any Place Where Consumers search So that means social selling, that means on page content, that means demand generation and demand capture, that means founder led growth. If you think the Agent is bringing you a million, likely not. If you think the Agent is bringing your 90% new customers, likely not. The users of said agent are mostly the top 20% of HHLDS - they are already in your portfolios. Pay attention - not everything shiny should get picked up. Make sure your site is set for all forms of search. Keep building your social selling, keep working on your demand generation and demand capture. The fairy tale of a magic agent is just that, performative theater. Follow the fundamentals and focus on the customer - that has been and always will be the winning formula.

Local SEO isn’t just a buzzword—it’s often the missing link between being invisible online and being the go-to choice in your area. We recently worked with a local Logan electrician who, after a website rebuild focused on local SEO, saw a 200% increase in quote requests. Sometimes, it’s not about doing more marketing—it’s about doing the right marketing.

Every marketing agency will tell you the same thing: “You need to be on social media.” Now before the social media managers come for me… social media absolutely has its place. But most marketers get the reason completely wrong. Here’s what actually happens when someone in Australia or New Zealand needs a new dentist (one of the main clients i work with) They don’t open Instagram and start scrolling for one. They go to Google. They search things like: • “dentist near me” • “emergency dentist Brisbane” • “toothache dentist Auckland” • “wisdom teeth removal Sydney” And they choose from the clinics that show up in Google search and Google Maps. After working with hundreds of dental practices over the years, the pattern is incredibly consistent when it comes to where new patients actually come from: → Google organic search + Map Pack: around 50–70% of new patient enquiries → Google Ads: around 15–25% → Social media: usually 1–3% → Referrals: the rest (which can still be a big chunk) Social media does some great things. It shows the personality of the practice. It builds familiarity and trust. It keeps existing patients engaged. All helpful. But if a clinic is deciding where to spend limited time and marketing budget, the order matters. One well-optimised page targeting something like “Emergency Dentist in [Your City]” can generate more new patient enquiries than six months of consistent social posting. Google brings people who need a dentist today. Social media mostly reaches people who aren’t looking yet. Both matter. But they don’t serve the same purpose. If you’re a dental clinic trying to grow, start by making sure you can be found when someone searches on Google. Then layer social media on top. That’s when the marketing really starts to work. Note: This applies to most service industries. What you need to do is think about how your customer finds you, and that needs to be the main focus, with the rest adding to it all

What separates a $500 website client from a $5,000 one? It's not project size; it's mindset. Lower-value clients see websites as costs, focusing on short-term price and aesthetics. Higher-value clients view websites as assets that drive sales, build trust, and save time. They're paying for your judgment, not just your hours. To attract better clients, stop selling features and start selling outcomes. Showcase impact with case studies, and set clear expectations with structured processes. When your value shifts from what you build to what you make possible, that's the bridge between $500 and $5,000. #WebDesign #ClientAcquisition #ValueBasedPricing #BusinessStrategy #FreelanceTips
