Scam Website Beware!
Oliver called looking to purchase my vehicle. Offered full asking price and even arranged a viewing. At the end of the call he requested I purchase a HPI report off this website. SCAM SCAM SCAM

The scammer use Limerick phone and Uk number contacted my phone and also by WhatsApp messages many times.
These scammers are absolutely despicable—they’ve wasted my time and energy. I honestly don’t even know who the real buyers are anymore. This is my first time trying to sell a car on carzone website, and within just less than one hour, I’ve already encountered an online scam. I even paid €149.95 for your "best and fastest" car-selling package on your official website; I am incredibly disappointed. I nearly fell victim to these scammers, which would have cost me even more money. These scammers will press you to open a specific website ： hpiinfo.com。they’ve designated, enter your license plate number, and then guide you to input your personal information—such as your banking details—under the pretext of paying taxes or other fees. Never enter your sensitive information.These people are part of a fraud ring.Very disappointment!!!

Got a call from a Olivia Harriet with a phone number 061526215 she offered to buy my car for the selling price but insisted that I get an HPI report from the website first. Sounded like a scam and I searched the website online and that confirmed that it was indeed a scam. Very convincing on the phone, she asked questions about the car and what condition was, explained her car had problems and she was out of work until she bought a new one and would meet me ASAP with cash to buy but needed this HPI report.

Olivia Harriet urgently wanted to buy my car in cash, but didn’t have a mobile number as she dropped her phone calling me and it broke. Dreadfully stupid scamming attempt. Was sent this website for a report which is obviously fake. Block and move on.

Got a call from a guy with a phone number 061526215 he offered to buy my car for the selling price but insisted that I get an HPI report from the website first. Sounded like a scam and I searched the website online and that confirmed that it was indeed a scam.

Young woman offered to buy my car, needed a HPI check to check out car history because a garage worker told her to. Even told me to only buy the HPI Basic plan and not to waste money getting anything more expensive like she was doing me a favour. Allegedly wanted to drive down on the day from Limerick and seemed pressed for time, mobile even came up as Limerick. Almost got me.

Idiot going by the alias ‘Brent Stone’ offered to buy my car in full so long as I sent him a hpi report from this exact website, unfortunately for him I came here and read all about it thanks to everyone else who left reviews 61 525 186, a lot of the numbers seem to be Limerick numbers so be careful if anyone is ringing you looking to buy your car

I recently listed my car for sale on DoneDeal. Shortly afterwards, I received a phone call from a woman who introduced herself as Olivia and said she was seriously interested in buying the car. She asked questions about the vehicle and said she wanted to come and view it.

Before coming to see the car, she told me that I needed to obtain a vehicle history report from hpiinfo.com and send it to her via gmail. She said that the report had to be obtained by the owner and suggested that I use the website myself.

This immediately made me suspicious, so before entering any personal or payment information, I checked the website and searched for reviews. I found numerous recent Trustpilot reviews from other people describing an almost identical experience — people advertising cars, receiving calls from supposed buyers, and then being directed to hpiinfo.com to obtain a vehicle report. Several reviewers describe it as a scam/phishing website and mention attempts to obtain payment/card information.

I also found discussions from Irish car sellers describing the same “only the owner can obtain the report” story, including reports involving a woman called Olivia.

Complete sham.

I received a call from an Irish mobile number in response to a car I had advertised on DoneDeal. The caller was a soft-spoken, polite Asian man who introduced himself as Jeffray. He claimed to be interested in the car and asked me to provide a vehicle history report.

I sent him a recent MyVehicle.ie report, but he insisted that HPiinfo contained more information. He then talked me through the process of purchasing a report over the phone. When I pointed out that the website appeared to be a UK-based site, he assured me that once an Irish registration number was entered, everything automatically converted to the Irish system.

I did receive what appeared to be a report, but it was completely bogus. Even the template had nothing to do with the Irish vehicle registration system, and much of the information in it was clearly fabricated.

So, unfortunately, I was conned. I feel pretty foolish for having fallen for it, but the whole approach was deliberately convincing.

If you're selling a car privately, be very wary if a prospective buyer insists that you purchase a vehicle history report from a particular website.

Got a call from Robert (with Aisan accent) from Limerick 061 526185. The cover story is that he has a clothing business and wants to see the car I posted on carzone asap. Willing to pay cash but his mechanic wants to see the report from hpiinfo.com first. Avoid.

Scam website, got a call after putting my car up for sale offering the full price but only after I did a check on this website. The caller "Olivia" was very clued in with car checks and details of same, which made me very suspicious. When I refused to do this the caller become very annoyed and subsequently hung up

This is a fake website. Someone will call you after you put your car up for sale and tell you to get a report from this site. They then steal your card details. Dirty little scamming nutbags.

This is a scam website. They will call you and convince you to go to the webpage and make the payment.

It's a phishing site to gather your card details. They also use people to call you and talk you through it as having a genuine interest in buying your car. Scam!

Google have them close to the top for results which is disgraceful. I've reported to Google.

I have had my car on done deal fir 3 weeks. Little interest, then this guy phones up to say he was very interested in the car and wanted to see it the next day. Asked a few questions about the car ( convinced me even more) yet asked me to do a hpiinfo com vech check.
Was suspicious of the number he was calling from however the idea of selling the car was enough for me to purchase basic package.
Feel a right mug, so called middle aged man with so called street smarts. I am an idiot. List 30e.
Cancelled my bank card within 10 minutes. Inconvenient but these scammers know IT better than techies.
Phoned him afterwards and told him in no uncertain terms I would knock him into next week ( and worse!!,)
Vermin, scum...please be vigilant, the BUYERs do the checks, not the sellers.

Just put my car up for sale on carsireland and an hour later had a call from an Indian sounding gentleman (I use this word with caution as scammers aren't gentlemen by any stretch).

The number he called from was 01 966 3998 and he said his name was Robert....

Anyway, he asked a few questions about the car and said he would pay full price but that I had to get an HPI report from hpiinfo. He said it was an English based website.

I said I had never heard of that website and added that he was better off using an Irish vehicle check website.

I hung up. He tried to call again but I just ignored it.
