Our experience with Exoticca provided a memory-packed annd stress-free trip. We felt completely supported before and during our vacation by guides who prioritized our safety. When we consider how much work (and inevitable stumbles) would have gone into us planning a trip like this, we realize how glad we are to have chosen these experts to curate and organize our vacation. The accommodations were excellent the tours in Egypt were well organized and the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly.

All the hotels were good, but some of them didn’t have the kettle and unfortunately they only gave you complimentary water for the first day

From the time we Booked the Ireland tour with Exoticca they kept us informed on travel arrangements, they provided contact information for pre and on trip, as well as documentation and currency requirements and an outlined itinerary with hotel information. In all there were no worries in that department
The Ground transport was clean and modern with courteous drivers. Our assigned Guides were very knowable and provided many extras not detailed in the brochure. We were very please with the way Exocitica handled all the details from organizing flights meet and greets, sights and tours. In all we would recommend Exoticca to anyone who would like to travel pretty much worry free.

I have travelled with Exoticca once before but have made several enquiries over the years since. Last week I asked about a S American trip and was sent a quote which I later decided not to go ahead with for various reasons - not least of all online reviews which seemed to indicate they were not responsive if trying to get hold of them. I sent them an email to say so, thanking them for their time. This was the reply I received:

"There have been a couple of times when you spoke with one of the agents; we sent you a quote but you still have not gone ahead with it.

Thank you for letting us know for next time!"

It may not have been meant to sound quite so menacing, but it sure came across as rather threatening. I wrote back to say I would be mentioning this on Trustpilot. And I definitely won't be using them again, as they have made it clear that any enquiries from me are not welcome.

The agent was most helpful and patient with me as I changed my mind a couple times with my choices.

My trip started with a hiccup. The Turkish airline flight arranged by Exoticca got delayed and then canceled while I was still at IAD. Coordinating and rebooking flight according to Exoticca has to be done by me (not by them) and that has not been an easy process. I would be missing two days of the trip (hotel stay and tour) that I paid for. I also planned to do a food tour of Istanbul on 07/22 with a tour company that I found on viator, which again due to flight cancellation I had to forgo. The Exoticca personal has stated via what-sup that I will get reimbursed for the missed days…only time would tell.

Great customer service Lizzy took her time to explain us the options and help us make decision.

Trip: 13 day trip to Peru & Ecuador. Highlights being Machu Picchu and Galápagos Islands.

First time travel with Exoticca and wanted to see what charm level experience would be like plus made it affordable.

Pros:
- Good price
- The included trips were generally very good and plenty of optional trips at reasonable cost.
- Transfers to airport and hotel were friendly, quick and efficient
- Group size was nice ie not large groups
- hotels varied a lot but acceptable for Charm standard
- Guides were generally friendly and helpful

Cons:
- Difficulty in adding optional trips after making initial booking and unable to get through to customer services. Suggest booking all optional trips as part of initial booking.
- final itinerary document was comprehensive but inaccurate (certain items were out by one day). Customer services acknowledged but were unable to correct
- travel reps in Peru were very good but Ecuador no so much. The guide we had for Giant Tortoise trip didn’t seem to like his job and was awful - apparently many complaints had already been made about him.
- could have done with an extra day in Cuzco, particularly as plane was delayed arriving by 3 hours.

Overall we were very happy with the trip. Found it very tiring due to total of ten flights and a lot of time spent at airport. Would have liked an extra day in the Galápagos and an extra day in Cuzco.

Have booked trip to Egypt and waiting on availability for Argentina and Brazil, so definitely recommend Exoticca.

Our guide Angela was outstanding and very knowledgeable. She made the trip amazing for all of us. She was on top of all our needs. She made the trip very enjoyable and entertaining. She truly was a blessing above and beyond. Anyone who tours with her will have an amazing time.

Was able to rebook a trip that we had cancelled. All previous information was transferred quickly and completed without any problems.
