One week on, here are two things we’re taking away from #FIPWorldCongress2026. For the first time, Specialized Nutrition was included in the FIP NCDs Declaration, reinforcing the essential role of nutrition in prevention, recovery and long-term health. The congress also highlighted the important role pharmacists can play in identifying nutritional needs and supporting better health outcomes across every stage of life. 🤝 As a partner of FIP, we’re committed to continuing the conversation with the pharmacy community and advancing the role of Specialized Nutrition in care. 🔗 Learn more about Specialized nutrition here https://bit.ly/45KxJF6 #Nutricia #SpecializedNutrition #FIP2026 #Pharmacy

  • 𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻: 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 At ESPEN 2026, our satellite symposium and a programme of expert-led sessions at the Nutricia booth facilitated discussions among healthcare professionals and researchers on some of the most important questions in medical nutrition today. The discussions addressed some of the most important questions in medical nutrition today: nutrition in critical care, recovery after discharge, muscle health in oncology, and the management of malnutrition and frailty in older adults. Across these different topics, one message stood out: patients move between care settings, and nutritional care must move with them. From ICU to ward to home, continuity of nutritional support is essential to help patients recover and achieve better outcomes. Beyond the presentations themselves, the most valuable part was the dialogue. Hearing different perspectives, discussing practical challenges and exploring how evidence can be translated into everyday care is what makes scientific congresses so important. Thank you to everyone who joined the discussions in Berlin and shared their expertise so generously, and to the Nutricia teams who helped make these exchanges possible. #ESPEN2026 #ClinicalNutrition #MedicalNutrition #Nutricia130Years #LifeTransforming

  • 📍 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐂𝐔! For many patients, the journey from ICU to ward and home is where recovery is won or lost. Yet nutritional care during this transition remains inconsistent, despite its importance for recovery, function, and quality of life.  At Nutricia, we are proud to support the GRIP Global Research Initiative Post ICU Nutrition, which brings together international experts committed to advancing post-ICU nutrition through research, education, and implementation. Together, we share an ambition to better understand patients' nutritional needs throughout recovery and to translate evidence into clinical practice that strengthens continuity of care. By fostering collaboration across the critical care community, GRIP is helping to shape the future of post-ICU nutrition and recovery. We are proud to contribute to this important journey and support efforts that help patients recover after critical illness. #GRIP #PostICUNutrition #CriticalCare #RecoveryBeyondICU #ClinicalNutrition #Nutricia

📍 Live from Berlin at #ESPEN2026 and what an inspiring few days it has been! Our booth has been buzzing with 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 and, most importantly, meaningful conversations with Healthcare Professionals from around the world 🌍. We've been also encouraged by 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 and Q&A session, creating valuable opportunities to exchange perspective on the evolving role of nutrition in patient care. ✨ From enteral nutrition care to cancer and frailty care, one thing has been clear: there is a strong interest in how we translate emerging science and evidence into meaningful nutritional care in clinical practice. Three messages have particularly stood out in our conversations: 🔬 Nutrition should be considered throughout the entire patient journey, from treatment through recovery. 📚 Translating evidence into everyday clinical practice remains a key priority. 🤝 Collaboration and education are essential to advancing nutritional care. A big thank you to everyone who has joined our symposium and educational sessions, visited our booth and shared their perspectives with us. With 2 more days to go, there is still plenty more to come. • 📣Specialized Nutrition is recognized in the FIP Declaration as an important part of supporting people living with non-communicable diseases⤵️

FIP has launched the FIP Montreal Declaration on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), reaffirming the profession's commitment to accelerating action against the world's leading cause of death and disability. The declaration was officially signed by FIP president Paul Sinclair AM and Deb Saltmarche from the Canadian Pharmacists Association during the second plenary session in Canada today. FIP Member Organisations are also invited to sign the declaration at the 2026 FIP world congress. The declaration is further supported by a number of FIP partner organisations. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eNkAPCTE The declaration comes at a pivotal time. Following the 2025 United Nations Political Declaration on NCDs and mental health and well-being, 2026 has become a key year for translating global commitments into action. Strengthening pharmacy's contribution to NCD prevention and management is one of FIP's advocacy priorities for this year, with pharmacists recognised as essential to delivering integrated, people-centred primary health care.  The declaration calls for stronger policies enabling pharmacists to practise to the full extent of their expertise across prevention, screening, early detection, treatment optimisation and long-term management of NCDs. It also highlights the importance of sustainable remuneration, workforce development, digital health, interprofessional collaboration and equitable access to pharmacy services. Particular attention is given to addressing shared risk factors, including tobacco use, nutrition, physical activity, immunisation, self-care and health literacy, while recognising the needs of people living with NCDs in humanitarian and vulnerable settings. The declaration also commits FIP and its member organisations to translating these priorities into national action through strengthened pharmacy services, measurable outcomes and continued sharing of best practices, supporting global efforts to reduce the burden of NCDs and build more resilient and sustainable health systems.
