$50,000 worth of setup from FoxESS. Huge battery, solar, EV chargers.. over a month waiting for a response to my ticket or emails. Zero customer service.

Had the FOX ESS inverter and one EP6 battery installed three months ago, the system has worked flawlesly. The only problem I had was the battery was out of power halfway through the night, due to the high demand of the air source heat pump I had installed, two months ago, in the cooler weather. Discussed the issue through the online chat, and Fox customer service recommended to install a Fox ess junction box and more batteries. the actual recommendation was to install as high a capacity of batteries as my budget would allow. up to a maximum of four in total. Got my local installer round and he agreed. He installed the junction box and two more EP6 batteries, keep everything easy and compatable. The system is now handling my requirements perfectly and during this spell of sunshine I am exporting a good amount back to the grid, once my batteries are fully charged. Everyones a winner. I recommend the helpdesk and product highly, and my installer is happy as everything works perfectly everytime.
My next folly is too have an electric vehicle and a Fox ESS home wall charger installed. I am reassured it will all be compatible and an easy install for my electician.
Great product and great local installer, both highly recommended.

My FoxESS solar panel / battery system developed a fault. The system is under warranty.

At first, FoxESS promised 'utmost' assistance, but then had difficulty in answering some basic questions.

Immediately after my making a data subject access request under UK legislation, FoxESS offered some technical help, but then almost immediately withdrew the offer of a diagnostic site visit.

FoxESS wrote about data provision to me in such a way that I had to remind the company of its statutory obligations.

So far, my experience with FoxESS kit and company performance has been very disappointing.

After struggling with some onsite issues, Ben from Fox UK got everything up and working, what a fantastic engineer.

I have a solar PV installation using equipment provided by this manufacturer via an installation company.

It was flawless when new. Fox-ESS app when provided with data on my installation denies me access to control the system via the fox-ESS app. Thier customer service team have failed to respond to all my efforts to identify myself, my address and my equipment to assign their hardware to my in place installation.

Very disappointing after-sales support experience with Fox ESS regarding a faulty battery replacement.
While the battery was eventually replaced, the overall process caused significant inconvenience and stress. During the replacement visit, the technician advised that the battery should not be exposed to direct sunlight and that the floor surface must be completely flat. These important installation requirements were never explained to us during the original installation, despite us relying on the company’s expertise and guidance.
I had also specifically requested that the technicians arrive before 10:00 AM due to my wife needing to leave for work at 10:30 AM. Unfortunately, they arrived at 10:00 AM and remained onsite until around 11:15 AM. What was most concerning was that the heavy dismantling and reassembly work appeared understaffed. Due to the rain, my wife had to stand outside holding an umbrella to protect both the technicians and the battery equipment from getting wet during the replacement process. As a result, she was delayed getting to work.
Communication and customer care throughout this process have been poor, and follow-up responses regarding compensation discussions have also been lacking.
I appreciate that the faulty battery was ultimately replaced, however the handling of the situation and the level of inconvenience caused were far below expectations for a professional solar and battery company.

Very good service from Ben and Tristan today.
Good technical knowledge and both have helped to solve a complicated problem and most of all help one of our very valuable customers....thank you both 👍🏻

Ben Humphreys remotely talked me through getting my solar Fox ESS battery working again. Then once that was resolved. He also fixed a communication issue with the inverter to the grid at the consumer unit. He went the extra mile for me. I would 100% recommend him. Thanks again

Ben was brilliant! Seamless service

As an installer they have been invaluable. We installed a 125kW inverter alongside 150kW solar and 208kWh of battery storage.
The equipment installed was brand new and the latest H3Plus model. Fox sent out an engineer (Ben) and their engineers in China (Zeva and Jay) worked alongside our electricians to enable us to run the system off grid alongside a diesel generator until the new grid connection is commissioned by Northern Powergrid.
Couldn’t recommend them enough!

My Fox ESS system has been working like a dream. On the one occasion I have needed support, Fox tech support Ben was brilliant. Gave accurate, prompt advice and my system is now running like a dream again. Highly recommend this company.

Had my system installed at beginning of Feb
Had 2 lots of panels with 2 Fox inverters 3kw & 3.6kw.
Became apparent that the 3.6kw inverter with a single string was producing less power that the 3kw inverter with two strings even though the single string has a greater number of panels!!
Looking at the output it was clear that the 3.6kw was clipping the current @3kw for hours during the day, took screen shots, and asked FOX ESS UK what was wrong, one of the untechnical staff told me the system was working fine, when it quite clearly wasn’t, a premonition of what’s to come!!
So to test out if it was panels (FOX UK’s new excuse) Bought second had 4kw inverter of another make and fitted on the single string and immediately it produced 4.1kw, told FOX and there didn’t even respond, obviously don’t like being proved wrong or just ignore real problems!!
After reading some forums from Auz (much larger user base), many users have reported string limits.
Put the 3.6kw inverter on the split stings and it will sit producing 3.6-3.8kw when the sun is out without clipping. Pretty conclusive that there is an individual string limit that the UK team don’t know about, nice product knowledge!
Then found out today that FOX UK sent out new data sheets to their installer base shows there ARE single sting limits of all of their inverters.

So a customer worked out limits that FOX ESS UK tech team denied.
Many customers may be losing power&money if they are on a single string set up and are not aware of the limits clipping their output, this is pretty poor by any standard.

Not had a sorry or acknowledgement from the UK distributor, says all you need to know about them.
Will not be fitting any more of their systems to another one of my houses.
Shame as the kit its self is OK, just the UK team behave like mindless box shifters, who don’t care.
