I have been very disappointed with eharmony. In 6 weeks on the site, and a significant amount of that as a full subscriber, only around 6 or 7 people have even viewed my profile. Not a single person I have sent likes to have even viewed it (and people usually want to see their likes and would at least open the profile) which means they are either not active on the site but still being sent to potential matches or are in the site but not as subscribers so they can't see likes. I have found using the site to be a complete waste of time. Seeing there is very little return on investment if almost no one views your profile, I requested to cancel my subscription and for future payments to be cancelled. This request was denied, in spite of the evidence I provided that the site was not working as advertised and a waste of time and money. Their rates are too expensive and their policies are rigid and customer service kept giving me the same explanations and repeated suggestions for improving my profile, even though that does no good if no one is viewing your profile. Also, the matches are supposed to be sent based on compatibility, but I did not get the sense from the profiles I read that I had much in common with many of them and found very few of them the least bit compelling. My experience on Match and Facebook Dating has been much better and worth the time and/or money investment. Binge and Bumble are ok, too. I recommend not wasting your money on eharmony.

Terrible scam. Free trail still cost money!! You can’t see photos. I’m 67 so no one within my area would even show on my lead.
So within a couple days I realized I’m not going for this and now they’re harassing me for $118. I did not agree to pay for nothing! There literally was nothing for me to see. It’s a total scam!!!!

Do not waste your money or trust on eHarmony. It is a massive financial trap designed to lock you into automated billing cycles while delivering zero value.The platform is filled with trash and ghost profiles. I constantly received notifications and emails matching me with people, but the moment I logged into the system to check, the accounts were already "deleted." They use these non-existent profiles to trick you into thinking the site is active so they can keep your subscription running.Once your subscription ends, they intentionally make it a nightmare to escape. They bombard your inbox with endless notifications. If you want to permanently delete your information to make it stop, they force you to log back into their website to do it—refusing to let you easily opt-out from the outside.The automatic renewal system is predatory. I had to resort to completely canceling my debit card just to guarantee they wouldn't sneakily pull more money out of my account, which caused me massive headaches with my other legitimate bills.Save yourself the grief, the money, and the security risk. This site uses deceptive dark patterns to trap consumers. Stay far away.

eHarmony requires a somewhat leap of faith but far superior to other dating sites.

It is very difficult to get the user name and password to go through. I spent a couple hrs trying and was ready to give up

I signed up in August 2026 at what was displayed as a per-month price. There is no monthly membership - eharmony later told me in writing that the price per month shown on the first page is "not billed on a monthly basis." What I had actually bought was a 12-month commitment of nearly $600, split into four installments. When I asked to cancel three weeks in - offering to forfeit the full first installment of $149 - I got refusals from three different reps and a "this decision is final." There is no cancel button on the site, only an auto-renew toggle that leaves every remaining payment in place. This company also paid over $2 million in 2018 to settle claims from California district attorneys over its auto-renewal practices. I have filed a complaint with the Virginia Attorney General (they have a new law covering exactly this). Read the payment page twice before you enter your card.

Simple easy to use

This is the most worthless dating site. They state you can cancel at anytime. That is true, however, in the small print, you can cancel but you are going to pay monthly for whatever subscription you signed up for. It is not worth spending $1 on. Facebook's FREE site is 100 times better. This site is an old dinosaur that needs to retire, but they are so successful at scamming money, why stop now!
