i think neocities might need more protection around genAI scraping aside from a robots.txt file because any bot can get past it if they really wanted to. even though i accepted that my stuff will get scraped eventually, it would still be pretty cool to not have that happen no matter how bad i think my art is

what's your guys fav domain? i'm stuck between .art or .uk. the latter isn't that appealing to me because where i live doesn't influence my site that much, and the former makes me look like an art institution lol

every time i wanna fix all the grammar in my blog posts i remember there's people who get genuinely angry at lack of capitalised letters, abbreviations, "internet slang" etc. and that makes me want to keep it as it is

i feel like artists telling others not to feed their work into AI is as useful as a DNI. it makes sense to tell people not to repost because some are genuinely clueless when it comes to that but... if someone wants to steal your art they're gonna do it anyway because they're an asshole
