Mark Nava

Hi, I'm Mark, and I have been working as a designer and illustrator for over 20 years.

I've always been fascinated by the power imagination has to transport us to new and mysterious worlds to explore. As a child, I was introduced to fantasy through videogames, books, movies, and cartoons (The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks, Donner's Ladyhawk, Boorman's Excalibur, Record of Lodoss War, Saint Seiya, and Star Wars, among others). I later realized that early life experiences are the most crucial in human development.

Here on Itch.io you can read my biggest project, The Voice of the Enemy, a complete 400-page graphic novel — hand-painted with pencils, ink, and watercolors. A passion project more than 20 years in the making, begun in 1999.
