World Unite! レビュー 

It was a truly incredible adventure. The whole team is welcoming and makes sure we feel as comfortable as possible. During my one-month stay, I was able to experience so many adventures through the activities and camp life with all the other volunteers. These memories will stay with me forever, and I highly recommend Zanzibar!

The whole experience was great. It was my first time traveling abroad by myself, I was able to contact work unite at any point and they were available Everytime I did, and the 2 weeks I spent in Sado island were really fun and the people taking care of us were really kind which made the experience better, it was also good how some of the experiences we did were with locals which made it more interesting as we got to interact with the locals from Sado island and understand how things work differently.
Overall the whole time I spent in Tokyo and sado were really good and fun and probably the best 2 weeks I have had in a while, so thank you for making this opportunity possible.

Our two daughters (18 and 21) are currently spending a month in Zanzibar volunteering with World Unite, across camps in Jozani and Matemwe. This is such a unique experience — letting them see and engage with the country not just through a tourist lens, but through real, hands-on involvement with the local community.

In just one week they've planted mangrove trees, then turned around and taught a class about mangroves to local kids. They've also learned about seaweed farming and its use in cosmetics and medicine, and taken part in bird and crab research. A local herbalist taught them about traditional medicinal plants, and a village woman taught them to weave.

We receive daily updates full of enthusiasm and wonderful photos. The program is clearly well-organized, and what really stands out is the genuine respect and connection between the World Unite team and local communities. Thank you for making this experience possible.

During our stay in Morocco, Tangier, the director of the hospital that me and my friend did our placement with was absolutely unprofessional and very disrespectful. He had slapped me and my friend around the head and was way too forthcoming with the way he presented himself - as in he touched my arm. Maybe this is the way that he is with his colleagues but with two foreign students that he does not know is completely unprofessional. He also was quite rude one day and called us useless and tried to say that we will do everything in that department that day and when we agreed and didn’t give him the annoyed reaction that he wanted, he became hostile towards me especially and dismissed me and fanned his hand away at me when I asked for the key to the lift. The clinic was very unwelcoming as a whole and we felt very out of place and spent majority of our days standing around. There was probably only a handful of staff that made attempts to talk to us and teach us a few things which we really appreciated. Those kind of people are the only ones that deserve to host foreign students.

Moving onto accommodation. The oven exploded on me whilst I was cooking which was absolutely horrifying. The oven wasn’t used by any of us that were living in the accommodation at the time which made it even more concerning that it had randomly combusted. We obviously called our coordinator and he came however he made it seem as if it was my fault that it exploded?? Stating that I turnt it on and didn’t turn it off properly which was just ridiculous. In the end it turned out that the oven was never really off as the knobs had indicated and the whole stove was old and looked very faulty from what myself and the other people living with me had seen when our coordinator left.

Overall, I would never recommend that someone goes on their placement or volunteering in Tangier, Morocco because it was an overall horrible experience in the hospital. It is a lovely city to visit, but to work? Absolutely not. And for the amount of money that we had spent to do this experience, we 100% did not get our moneys worth.

This company has a "strange business practice", that I found quite disrespectful and unsafe to the customer.

They say they will help plan a stay at a volunteer project abroad for you, but will ask you to pay in advance a HUGE amount of money - almost 1000 EUR - before they'll as much as send out your applications. In other words, they ask you to gamble a gigantic amount of money without even a guarantee that the volunteer project of choice has an interest in you, let alone a vacant position.

I chose not to pursue such an unsafe investment, as I found it's bad manners to ask the customers of such a ludicrously large amount of money without at the very least the guarantee you are purchasing an actual product (promise of making contact with and planning a stay with an actual volunteer position that has interest in you, etc).

I advice using other, much cheaper services online to make direct contact with a volunteer project.
