An enjoyable improvement to GoGuardian would be the complete and utter removal of it from existence in this solar system.

Go Guardian honestly makes me feel sick. Im going into 5th grade and hearing other students and hearing that there have been petitions to TAKE DOWN GO GUARDIAN COMPLETELY!!!!. It not only tracks you at school it tracks you at home on break and anything else luckily i have my home laptop but i wont be able to use my school laptop if it has go guardian. This has been a issue with many schools and needs to be banned Go guardian is the only reason im on trust pilot now i only came on this website to say this if you get go guardian request your school board to remove it and get regular ad blockers. If you are a person with issues with go guardian i recommend going to task manager and select go guardian select it then click the option to show on home page then delete it and restart your computer*DISCLAIMER DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU WANT TO BE EXPELLED, SUSPENDED AND/OR BANNED FROM YOUR SCHOOL*

This website invades my privacy, even over summer break it tracks what I’m doing, blocks it, or even full on just makes a bunch of apps blocked, like a free adblocker that stops all the lag. Some teachers even abuse this to spy on the students instead of using it properly. Like my teacher once called me out to say I made typos. So stupid

As a very talented 7th grader who uses Linux with KDE Plasma 6.7 on Wayland, goguardian is spyware and malware. I do heavily defend myself, making it impossible to install, and, if it somehow didi install, it cant escape without triggering aa screen sharing prompt. This thing (i installed it intentionally and ran an audit) is now confirmed to take screenshots without user consent or notifying users, it has access to camera and i found location tracking code, it can monitor AI chats and has a LOT of code for youtube. It violates about all rules of human privacy and dignity and it needs to be removed now. It also uses highly invasive network interception that only works because it is on google admin console ExtensionInstallForcelist, which gives it permission to intercept and read ALL of your network traffic. It also is incredibly permissive in its manifest, allowing itself to read and change data on all sites, change networking, and redirect. Overall, as a deep priacy enthusiast, i classify this as malware that school IT departments abuse with google admin console.

This is not educational software, this is malware. I have had to use a school chromebook with this software for around 7 years now, and around 25% of the information sites I use for school projects just get blocked. I remember once having to do all of my research on my unrestricted at-home computer due to the sources my teacher provided simply not working.

There are also many examples of similar malwares similar to this one failing to do their ONE AND ONLY JOB. I have heard a litany of stories of these "services" mis-flagging innocent websites and humor as threats, and students are literally being sent to juvie over harmless jokes.

I simply cannot believe that these companies cannot take as simple a hint as "If I'm being sued by the students who consume my software, then I'm clearly doing something wrong." Companies creating malware like this and selling it as student safety tech is simply unacceptable. The world itself would be a better place if these softwares didn't exist.

(i will clarify from the title, i know some people don't have the money to get a personal computer) GoGuardian has blocked a page that my science teacher gave for research, and i fell like it can be considered spyware, and something to embarass you, i once tried to search something, i went one click deeper into the google AI overview, and the tab got closed and my tab was ON MY TEACHER'S SCREEN. (i will admit, using google's AI instead of actually researching was a bit domb.) also, it has blocked multiple google searches for no apearent reason, and when i decided to use my chromebook for something, i had a google doc open saying "Hi, if you are seeing this, why? i'm at home not at school". i hate GoGuardian so much, i want to stop using chrome and switch to a different browser, but my school doesn't allow me to use personal devices on it's wifi. adn i also want to mention, the wikipedia page literally says "Parents have raised privacy concerns over the company's data collection, claiming the software is spyware." which is totally not a red flag. (sarcasm)

I WISH I COULD GIVE A -1 STAR BECAUSE ITS HORBALE.Im a student and everything is blocked and I'm always being watched on the minicam on the cromebook I cant play anything for some reason they don't even unblock the crome when you leave like bro some people play to calm down but no they gave us the middle finger and still blocked the cromes plus they block testris but don't block ai wepsites also I wish this thing was banned because the teachers block everything and spy on you if this help do more 1 stars because I want this to have a 1 star rating so the teachers see what they have done please and thank you.

I am in middle school currently in summer break. I have this pretty big fear of thunderstorms and lightning. Today I was minding my business and checking the weather on my school Chromebook, (DURING SUMMER BREAK). I got an alert saying that My chrome book is being investigated by the administrators and if it flagged as inappropriate My principal AND my PARENTS will be notified, I am extremely disappointed in go guardian and I feel like I have no privacy, just let me check the weather.

garbage. your teacher, district, and goguardian are CONSTANTLY WATCHING! you can't escape the monitoring or blocked sites. it's not about safety anymore, it's just about pissing off students. plus, the ppl at goguardian probably sell the surveillance to hackers because it's profitable.

disallow me from learning how to code

I’m a middle schooler and the things they be blocking make no sense. First, I find it interesting that Cool Math Games and Blooket are blocked, but p*rn hub, tubi, and disturbing games aren’t blocked. Second, you have no privacy at all. You could be on Christmas Break and still be watched.

It blocks everything and everyone in our class hates it. We can't do anything fun.

This software hurts kids more than they help fcuk this and luckily im not using my school account so they cant see this.

OK guys, I have never used this in my schools, but based on all the videos hating on this website, I have a reason to write this anyway I’m just say what this website does it just watches you and gives you zero privacy so one star don’t use unless you want to have no privacy
