As many people said before this sharehouse is not very honest with their rules and quality of housing. Their non-refund deposit and service prices are outrageous and are one of the most expensive sharehouses in Kyoto! Most cheaper sharehouses have more communal spaces or at least a cleaning service and as a result of not having even this, most of their sharehouses are super dirty...

This place is a dumpster fire, with all the charm and cleanliness of a backwater hostel in a developing nation. There is rampant theft of personal items and cash, along with a bug infestation in the showers due to lack of ventilation and sanitation, and across the entire ground floor including kitchen and co-working space due to leftover food waste and garbage piling up for weeks at a time. Smokers take advantage because management is completely unresponsive to any and all requests for repair and remedy. There are no consequences to disrespecting the house rules and bringing overnight guests or partying all night. The entrance is so filthy and neglected that it looks like it is decorated with enough cobwebs for Halloween. You can reliably expect to see a drain full of hair and shaven public hair in the showers. And management will refuse to release you from the contract despite all this and go out of its way to not refund deposits or rent and claim that none of it is their responsibility because it is communal space. Shameful.

Defenseless, vulnerable foreign customers, this company is only interested in your money, not at all in its customers, which will surely, in the end, prove to be a wrong business plan. But first, as a chilling welcome, customers will suffer, especially foreigners, who have little idea on how to deal with such outrageous neglect. The flat they rent is not maintained (10 degres, no heating, no washing machine, three people co-sharing..) and they don't react to demands, or get completely cynical, suggesting this is the Japanese life's style (!) that we should be washing our clothes by hand while wearing a parka, because Japanese people know how to endure the cold. (And we Swiss mountain people don't?!). Is this how Japan welcomes foreign workers and students?
Another reason you should wear a parka, even in summer, is that their staff is allowed and able to enter your flat at any time, without any warning. And they do! Talking about privacy..?
