You can get great deals on comics on this site if you don't mind waiting a month or more for your comics to be shipped. I have been using Hip for over a year now with mixed results. Some of the sellers on this platform are great. They ship their books in a timely fashion and are responsive to questions. Other sellers are absolutely horrible. ESPECIALLY Sunshine Comics AND FULFILLED BY HIPCOMICS (the site's own company). I have won auctions from both these sellers and have waited MONTHS for my books to ship. When I ask about the delays ii have either gotten absolutely no response or a canned "we are sorry but our fulifilment department is prioritizing your shipment blah blah blah" or some other such excuse about their shipping department. You would think with the really high shipping fees they charge (Often $40-$50+) you would get your books in a matter of days not months. As a result I will be buying comics on other sites like ebay.

I have been waiting for part a shipment to ship for 2 weeks now. Apparently, this book in my larger order was sold by a third party. I am extremely disappointed because nowhere on the item page did it say this book was NOT sold by Thriftbooks and that it was sold by a third party and would take longer for them to ship it out. There is also no information available so that I can get in touch with this third party seller myself to see where my book is. By not listing things as being sold by third parties Thriftbooks is engaging in deceptive selling practices. I don't expect a response to this as the only response I got inquiring about my book was a canned response about shipping. If I don't get an email by Monday 11/18 saying this book has shipped I will request a refund and never use Thriftbooks again.
