the game is amazing, like really. The only "bad" things i found are that the music gives me audio fatigue really fast, and you have the same range as the ennemies, so if you want to attack them, they basically can attack you the next turn and you can't do much about it.
also, i don't like that the camera moves when i just want to hover my cards, like yea i know my mouse cursor is near the edge of the screen, that's where my cards are!
but yeah, this comment may be seen as complaining, but the game is really good, especially for a jam game. Good job!
thanks!
yeah, the pieces types got a bit rushed in progression wise, i didn't really have the heart to make a lot of levels for a deeper player understanding of them, and level 30 was kind of a proof of concept at what a really hard level can be more than anything else.
Glad you like the game, a lot of people love the world select, i feel like gameplay inside the menus isn't as present in games as it's liked by the players.
this game made me understand the weakness of my flesh.
It has been made clear to my very eyes that i don't breakfast the way the universe intended me to.
you have to put the cereal first; that fact is undelyable now that i see the truth through this sugar rush.
my mind is sugar, my blood is sugar, i breathe sugar, my milk is composed of 23513564654 g/L of sugar, i have in me enough sugar to power a small city, and this only from a month of eating SUGAR!!!
jokes aside, i really like this game, it's simple and addictive because big number goes BRRRRRRRR, and the fact that your spoon gets BEEG is funny to me.
i like this game, it's interesting.
the game is good, but here is a bit of feedback:
the text is a bit hard to read because the game is so pixellized.
i did 5 runs, didn't find any way to heal damage, which becomes in my opinion necessary after the purple boss because the boss and purple ennemies go as fast or faster than you, making them collide with the player easily.
Another thing i didn't understand is that i could get upgrades for nodes that i don't have, when your run starts with a shop that has shotgun upgrades, you are forced to spend money to reroll, and can't upgrade your DPS right away.
Maybe having a boss health bar somewhere would help, and getting something for beating them, like maybe a choice between a boss themed node and money, something like that, other than an increase in game difficulty
I think it'd be good to have more time to collect the money, it disappears too fast for a game where you basically can't heal, it's so fast that when you have more than 3 ennemies in front of you, you can't collect the money from them, that'd mean launching yourself at them and taking damage. Also, money can disappear as it's being pulled at me, moving while getting money often mean that you don't get any money.
I hope you won't take this comment harshly, it's mostly suggestions to make the game more enjoyable/satisfying, if you think about it, you can find as the gamedev the game easy because you playtest it all the time.
edit: just found out that when i upgrade my guns enough, most of them don't work anymore, having 15 gun nodes that don't shoot because only one does makes me wonder if i really took upgrades, or if i concentrated my power to a single gun node
