About

OinkJam is a super cool, beginner-friendly game jam that takes place over the span of two weeks! Game jams are a great way to commit to a project and see it through. Anyone is welcome to join, but we especially hope to encourage girls and other gender-minority youth to participate in this game jam.  :)

Themes

Two themes will be announced  one hour (brainstorm time!) before the jam begins. You can suggest and vote on themes in the info channel of our Discord server.

 You can interpret the themes however you like, and one must be implemented in your game. You can also try to have both themes if you want an additional challenge!

Voting

Voting will take place from the jam's end to 2/10/26 at 11:59 PM PST.

• Theme: How well the game incorporated the jam’s theme. Extra points should not be awarded for including both themes, nor deducted for implementing only one.

• Gameplay: How smooth, engaging, and well-developed the game mechanics felt.

• Visuals: How appealing the game looked, including art style, graphics, and overall presentation.

• Audio: How effective the game’s sound design and music were in enhancing the overall experience.

Prizes

• First: Featured on all of our platforms and Discord champion role

• Second: Featured on all of our platforms and Discord champion role

• Third: Featured on all of our platforms and Discord champion role

We are also securing and finalizing a few sponsored prizes, such as software keys, to encourage participation (but keep the jam stress free!). 

More information about additional prizes and prize redemption will be added here as the jam approaches.

Rules

• Games must be entirely made during the jam's duration, and usage of premade assets must be disclosed in your game submission.

• You can use any game engine, and compete solo or in teams up to 4.

• A brief explanation of your theme incorporation must be disclosed in your game submission.

• Games should be appropriate for all ages. No hateful, offensive, or explicit content.

• Be kind, and provide helpful feedback during voting!

Late submissions: We'll accept late submissions up to 6 hours after the deadline, just let me know with your reason :)
