Welcome to the first ever MSPA Jam!

A weekend-long jam centered around MS Paint Adventures properties, the first of its kind!

This jam's theme is...

Everyday Sburb Life!

Ever wanted to be a salamander farming mushrooms at LOWAS? To see what Jack Noir is up to on his day off? To deliver your players' mail? This one's for you!!

Any videogame genre goes, do an RPG, do a visual novel, do a point and click, anything! And go nuts with the theme, the aforementioned ideas were just a few examples of what you could do but let your imagination run wild, think of the carapacians in the battlefield, think of the denizens, think of the underlings, and yes even think of the players!! What are they getting up to on their day to day? The answer is up to you! And yes OCs are very much welcome.

• Entries must follow the theme that will be revealed the day the jam starts.
• No generative AI for any part of the process, use your creativity!
• Premade assets are OK as long as you have the rights to use them.
• No 18+ entries, this is an all-ages event.
• No content that breaks itch.io's TOS or promotes bigotry of any kind.
• Any game genre is allowed as long as it's an actual videogame that can be played on browser.
• Please only start working on your entry when the jam starts, we can't verify that you'll do but keep it fair for everyone!
• Participants may submit more than one entry.
• You can make a game solo or with a team.
• Participants may also be part of more than one team.
• Each team can have a maximum of 10 members, but extra helpers are allowed.
• Entries must be in English or have an English version. (Extra languages are allowed)

Failing to follow these rules will result in your entry being removed from the jam.

The top entries will win a SHINY ONE OF A KIND* bragging rights ticket! (*One of a kind until we make more) and will be added to a collection to be displayed in the MS Paint Adventures itch.io account and will be shouted out in the Homestuck Discord. And courtesy of CraftPix the top 3 teams will get 1-year memberships to use all their assets even in commercial projects for all team members.

As soon as the submission period ends all participants will be able to vote on the best entries to determine the winners, the voting period will last for a week so make sure to get your votes in!

Join the Homestuck Official Discord to chat about the jam!

You can use the #fan-games channel to discuss with other participants and use the Teamfinding thread to build a team for the jam! Alternatively you can feel free to use the jam's Community page to build a team if you'd prefer.
