Call for Submissions!

Greetings Agents!

The PR Department is seeking YOUR contributions for our new office newsletter, THE TRIANGLE AGENCY FAN ZINE!  As a beloved member of the Triangle Agency family, you now have the chance to utilize your creative talents for the preservation of Reality— by boosting office morale!

We accept all workplace-appropriate submissions, including but not limited to stylish portraits of your coworkers, written reports of your excellent fieldwork, new requisitions released under the R&D Disclosure Agreement, features on recently retired Agents, and mission resources shared from General Manager to General Manager.

We hope to see your thrilling contributions in the first issue of our office newsletter!

About the Zine

The Triangle Agency Fan Zine will showcase community creations, including art, field team mission reports, 3rd party game content, and in-universe articles.  We’re seeking to accept all submissions in the zine.  There is no application process.

It will be a free digital release on itch.io when completed, likely in early-mid 2026.  There are no plans for a physical print run.  All contributors will be credited in the zine.

The Zine layout will be done by Haasio in the spirit of the layout of the TA books!!  This is a cool opportunity to have your writing formatted book-style for free!

Submissions

Submit your work through itch.io on the Triangle Agency Fan Zine Jam.  The jam will be open for 2 months.  All submissions must adhere to the submission guidelines to be included in the zine.

You may submit existing media (your art from last month, a mission you wrote last week, etc) as well as new things created just for the zine.

Submission Guidelines

All submissions must be on-topic, safe for work, respectful of the Agency’s Equal Opportunity Policy, and completed.  This zine does not accept submissions that incorporate generative AI.

If you have any requests for the location of your work (towards the beginning or end, grouped with other similar works, etc) let Haasio know (@Haasio on discord) and he’ll try to honor your request while formatting.

You can submit to both art and writing.

Art

Artwork can be submitted in either full page (8.5 x 11 inches) or half page (8.5 x 5.5 inches) format.  Images must be PNGs at 300 dpi or higher.

  • If you choose to submit a full page of art, you are limited to 1 art piece
  • If you choose to submit a half page of art, you may submit up to 2 art pieces
  • Artwork accompanying a piece of writing does not count towards these submission limits.

Characters should be recognizable as Triangle Agency characters (whether through clothes with triangle details/ID card/carrying Ripple Gun/Briefcase/Anomalies in environment/using Anomaly Ability/etc)

Ideas and Prompts

  • Comics, posters, fictional adverts, and other pieces that tell a story in-universe
  • Agents, Anomalies, NPCs
  • How your Agent styles their socks of success/red flag of disrepute
  • An Agency badge featuring a portrait of your Agent
  • Your Agent working at their Competency
  • An illustration of how your Agent encountered their Anomaly
  • Your field team enjoying frozen yogurt
  • Spoilered content will have its own section towards the end of the zine

Writing

You may submit 1 piece of writing per category.  Writing is more flexible than artwork in terms of length, and I’ll do my best to format your work to fit on the pages in a clean, cohesive way.  In order to streamline the formatting, here are some guidelines.

  • Please submit as plain text or PDF- something I can copy and paste from.
  • if you have formatting/a layout you've made, send that too so I can incorporate it

3rd Party Game Content (Category 1)

Missions

  • Ideally fit on either 2 or 4 pages.
  • They will be formatted roughly in the style of Impending Resonance, which is 500-700 words per 2 pages.
  • See the Impending Resonance template here: https://haasio.itch.io/impending-resonance
  • Include at least 1 image (a 2:3 img ratio works well) with your mission.  This could be a photograph, or some sort of photo collage, a corporate looking vector icon, or maybe a drawing.

Individual ARC pieces

  • Competency or Reality pieces should fit on a 2 page spread like in the Field Agent’s Handbook.  Include all supporting text, including onboarding questions, the type of graph used in the relationship matrix, etc.
  • If you are publishing an Anomaly ARC piece through this zine, let’s talk (@Haasio on discord).  That is going to be over 12 pages of formatting (often around 5 hours of work!), and can easily dominate the zine, making it unfair to other writers.  There'll be a playwall in the back of the zine if necessary, but multiple projects may have playwalls.  I'm open to discussing your Anomaly, but I may impose a page limit.
  • Include an image with your ARC piece.  This could be a photograph, or some sort of photo collage, a corporate looking vector icon, or maybe a drawing.

Optional Rules (Requisitions, Anomaly Abilities, house rules, etc)

  • Ideally fits on 1 page.
  • Limit: 500 words, fewer if the piece makes use of graphics (such as the textboxes used for Requisitions and Anomaly Abilities)
  • Try to include an image.  This could be a photograph, or some sort of photo collage, a corporate looking vector icon, or maybe a drawing.

Fun Stuff (Category 2)

Fun Stuff (in-universe articles, field team mission report summaries, fun news from your region’s branch of the TA, recipes for TA-themed cocktails, quizzes, etc).  Have an idea but not sure if it fits?  Feel free to ask the organizers.

  • Ideally fits on 1-2 pages (around 350 words per page, fewer if there are many images)
  • Try to include an image.  This could be a photograph, or some sort of photo collage, a corporate looking vector icon, or maybe a drawing.

Catalogue of Retired Agents [SPOILERS SECTION] (Category 3)

  • Limit: 1 retired agent submission per person
  • Does not count towards your writing submission limit
  • Include portrait (if possible), Agent name, ARC, date of retirement, type of retirement (desk job, chair, urgent, bad fit for culture, etc) field team name, branch name, and 1 sentence of flavor text
    • Example flavor text: “So long, nerds!  I’m off to go study fish in Georgia”- Varun
    • Example flavor text: “I wonder if she’s really happy up there, all Chairful and all that” - Tim, Field Team 6
    • Example flavor text: “Following Terra’s reckless stunt, there’s been an uptick of seismic activity in the area…  She must be captured.”- GM Argus
