🔷 A new chapter begins in the UAE. We attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Rich Gas Development - Phase 3 project that marked the beginning of a new major undertaking for #TECNIMONT at the Ruwais Industrial Complex in Abu Dhabi. Awarded by ADNOC Gas and valued at USD 4.3 billion, the projects will expand the Ruwais Natural Gas Liquids facility. As main contractor, we'll bring together our integrated expertise and execution excellence to deliver the engineering, procurement and construction activities for the fifth Natural Gas Liquids fractionation unit, including the regeneration gas treatment unit, the propane refrigeration system, the ancillary systems and the storage facilities. Once completed in 2030, the plant will reach an output capacity of 8 million tonnes per year, increasing the availability of valuable feedstocks for a wide range of manufacturing industries. 🤝 As work begins on site, we are ready to turn ambitious plans into lasting industrial value.

🚀 New milestone reached in India: 45 million hours! At the IOCL Paradeep PX Project in Odisha, one of India's key energy hubs, our #TECNIMONT team has achieved 45 million safe work-hours without Lost Time Injuries. This milestone belongs to every person who has contributed to the project with attention, responsibility and care. Across the site, close coordination, effective risk management and continuous training have kept safety at the center of daily execution. ▪️ The international Arbitral Tribunal confirmed that Tecnimont and its subsidiary lawfully suspended performance of the K2 Contracts due to sanctions ensuing from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, holding that EuroChem’s termination of the K2 Contracts was wrongful ▪️ The Arbitral Tribunal constituted under the K2 Contracts finally confirmed that it is the sole adjudicative body with jurisdictional competence to adjudicate disputes arising out of the K2 Contracts ▪️ Accordingly, the Tribunal: - Held EuroChem liable to pay approximately Euro 260 million to Tecnimont and its subsidiary for the wrongful termination of the K2 Contracts; those amounts are related to costs already incurred by Tecnimont and its subsidiary for the execution of the K2 Project; - Dismissed all of EuroChem’s counterclaims against Tecnimont and its subsidiary for indirect and consequential damages ▪️ The arbitration will now enter into Phase 2, during which the Arbitral Tribunal will have to adjudicate Tecnimont’s and any of its subsidiaries’ requests for i) a permanent injunction against EuroChem to withdraw the Russian proceedings instituted in breach of the arbitration agreements and ii) compensation for legal and all other costs and damages they have suffered as a result of those unlawful actions ▪️ All the other actions filed by MAIRE and its Group entities to defend their rights against EuroChem unlawful conduct will take their courses in the appropriate jurisdictions 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dNzZwGb7
