Roshan Prabhakar shared thisIt's been a week since MoneyExpo India 2026 in Mumbai, and I'm still thinking about the conversations we had there. From August 29th to 30th, I had the opportunity to represent Coinbase alongside our team, at our booth, on a panel, and delivering a keynote, over two days of genuinely energizing conversations about investing in India. A big thank you to the organizers, the event was thoughtfully run and gave every speaker real space for substantive conversation, not just soundbites. What stayed with me was the crowd: hundreds of engaged investors and traders, some new to crypto, some experienced, all showing up with real questions and open minds, wanting to understand digital assets the way they'd evaluate any other asset class. That curiosity is a privilege, and a responsibility. The least we owe them is a platform that's safe, secure, and genuinely compliant. The thread running through both sessions: crypto has grown up as an asset class, and belongs in a real conversation about diversification alongside equities and gold. For an Indian investor taking that first step, the exchange matters as much as the asset, and Coinbase's track record on security and compliance is exactly why it's a credible place to start. Grateful to have been part of the event, and looking forward to more conversations like these as India's investor base keeps growing up alongside this asset class! Roshan Prabhakar shared thisThe digital assets industry is entering a new phase, one where long-term value will be defined less by speculation and more by utility, accessibility, and trust. In a recent conversation with Block of Fame by Coingape, I shared perspectives on how areas such as stablecoin-powered payments, AI-enabled financial experiences, and onchain infrastructure are shaping the future of financial services. As the ecosystem continues to evolve, the focus is increasingly shifting towards building products that solve real-world problems, reduce friction, and expand access to financial opportunities for individuals and businesses alike. A thoughtful discussion on where the industry is headed and the innovations that could help drive the next wave of adoption. In an exclusive conversation with Block of Fame , Prabhakar shares how #Coinbase is evolving beyond a traditional crypto exchange into a platform offering global payments, tokenized assets, multiple asset classes, and broader onchain financial services through a single trusted app. He explains that stablecoins are not competing with UPI but are designed to improve cross-border payments, while emphasizing Coinbase's focus on building local infrastructure, enabling INR deposits and withdrawals, delivering a seamless onboarding experience, and maintaining strong security and regulatory compliance in India. Prabhakar also discusses how AI can simplify crypto adoption, make financial products easier to use, and support the growth of agentic payments, with blockchain operating seamlessly in the background. 🔗 Read the full interview in the comments.

Roshan Prabhakar liked thisRoshan Prabhakar liked thisAfter two incredibly rewarding years, yesterday marked my last day at Coinbase 👋 During my time here, I had the opportunity to work across some genuinely interesting and complex problems - from building payment flows across the UK and EU and leading a savings account product, to working on debit cards and equity trading across multiple markets, as well as experimenting with AI to improve how we test and build products. Looking back, I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my career. I’ve led projects end-to-end, worked across teams and geographies, and built products used at significant scale. More than anything, the people are what made the experience special. I’m especially grateful to Jack Steel, John Wang, Mitesh Savjani and David Ko for trusting me with complex problems and supporting me throughout my time here. And to all of my teammates - thank you for the countless reviews, discussions, feedback, laughs and support along the way. It has been an incredible two years, and a chapter I’ll always look back on very fondly. 💙

Roshan Prabhakar liked thisDon't mess with Coinbase. Fun fact -- we have a number of former AUSAs on our team who are experts at taking down criminals.Roshan Prabhakar liked thisCoinbase has once again partnered with Microsoft to dismantle a major Phishing-as-a-Service platform — this time taking down EvilTokens. EvilTokens sold a phishing kit that exploited Microsoft's device code login flow to hijack Microsoft 365 accounts, bypassing MFA by tricking victims into authorizing attacker-controlled sessions. Attackers then used that access to intercept financial communications and redirect payments, including crypto. Coinbase's Global Intelligence team traced EvilTokens' payment infrastructure across the Tron blockchain, attributed the operators, uncovered over $1.1 million in platform revenue, and identified purchasers on our platform — partnering closely with Microsoft and law enforcement to dismantle the operation. The results: 50+ websites and 175+ domains seized. EvilTokens' administrators arrested. And we're working with law enforcement, including the Metropolitan Police, as criminal investigations proceed. This is what it looks like when private industry takes direct action to protect customers and take down the criminal networks that who target them. Roshan Prabhakar liked thisThanks Arindam for hosting me on The Next Move podcast! 🎙️ It was fantastic connecting with you after a few years, and I thoroughly enjoyed our discussion on career transitions, scaling teams, and navigating technological shifts.Roshan Prabhakar liked thisHow do people make career decisions? Unfortunately, we are not taught how to think about making our career decisions. So, we launched The Next Move by NextLeap -- a new podcast where we unpack the defining choices, high-stakes pivots, and decision-making frameworks of top technology leaders to help you navigate your own professional trajectory. For our very first episode, I sit down with Ram Papatla (Managing Director at Google, ex-Amazon, Flipkart, Booking.com) to unpack his career and understand how he made his journey from an Individual Contributor (IC) to a General Manager (GM) role. Moving from functional leadership to a P&L-owning GM role isn't just a bump in title—it’s a complete reset. You stop managing features and start running an entire business. In this launch episode, Ram shares: 1. The Skillset Shift: How to move beyond product roadmaps to own full P&L accountability. 2. Cross-Functional Authority: How technical leaders can gain immediate trust with Finance, Sales, and Operations. 3. The Decision Framework: How to know when you’ve hit a growth ceiling in your current role and how to evaluate your next big leap. If you’re an ambitious leader aiming for general management or trying to figure out your next career step, this episode is filled with practical, hard-won wisdom. Link in comments.

Today, Elev8 Venture Partners led $20 million Series A for Nexedge Capital, along with Mirae Asset Venture Investments (India). This is the first institutional round raised by the company. This is our second investment in wealth management, after smallcase. We believe India's HNI/UHNI wealth is at the start of a multi-decade compounding curve. Here's the data behind our conviction: • India's wealth management TAM is projected to grow from $1.1 Tn to $2.3 Tn by FY29, with the HNI/UHNI segment alone expanding from $0.77 Tn to $1.61 Tn over the same period, as per Deloitte. • Household financial savings in India remain deeply underpenetrated: MF AUM/GDP sits at 16%, versus 140% in the US, leaving a multi-decade runway still ahead. • Since its launch in 2025, Nexedge has been among the fastest wealth management platforms to scale to over $3 billion AUM in 18 months across roughly 1,300+ clients. It has onboarded more than 95 senior bankers with 50-60 more set to join in 2026. Anirudha Taparia, Vijeeta Sharma, Sidhartha Shaw and Pankaj Walia, along with their team, spent decades at the country's top wealth platforms. They are now building Nexedge as India's first true Net-Worth Management firm for the next generation of UHNI families to build their legacy on. This is a rocketship taking off! Agilitas x Virat Kohli partnership is one of the masterstroke deals I have seen in recent times. Virat invests 40 CR in Agilitas for a 1.94% stake, putting Agilitas’s valuation around 2000 CR. 📈 In turn, Agilitas acquires one8world, making Virat a co-founder and shareholder. They now get two very important growth levers: ⬇️ 1. A powerful manufacturing (via Mochiko Shoes - a 600 CR+ footwear brand that Agilitas acquired in 2008 ), 2. India’s biggest athlete — exclusively aligned. Easily becomes a 4000 CR revenue brand in the next 5 years. Footwear + retail scale requires capital — but this partnership compresses customer acquisition, product cycles, and brand-building like few others. Even Virat said in his podcast with Abhishek Ganguly, the co-founder of Agilitas that, “I didn’t want a brand deal… I wanted to build something that outlives me.” And Abhishek said something even beautiful - “An ambition to build from India but be globally relevant.” This isn’t marketing. This is legacy building with shared skin in the game. And that is how startups work - shared ambition with one goal (to make the company big) and food (read stake) in the table for everyone! A company that can be built in the long term with culture, capital, and conviction aligned. This might be the first time in India, where an athlete joins hands with a sport company to re-imagine and build the sport ecosystem of India - truly revolutionalising the game with a clear vision. 🙌

Shiprocket now powers over $4B+ (₹33,000 crore) worth of orders every year across 2.5 lakh+ merchants But this wasn’t their plan in the beginning In 2012, three founders - Saahil Goel, @Vishesh Khurana and Gautam Kapoor started a small company called “Kartrocket” The goal was simple: help small shops build their own online stores. Sellers could make a website They could not ship orders on time - Couriers were slow - Prices were high - Tracking was messy - Customers kept complaining - Money got stuck Every new D2C brand had the same headache: Shipping was slow, expensive, unreliable And India’s e-commerce boom was collapsing under delivery failures Instead of building “one more courier company,” In 2017, they built shiprocket A logistics engine that connects sellers to every major courier in India with one click simple dashboard where any seller can ship through any courier at the best price Then the 2020 lockdown came COVID froze supply chains Small sellers panicked Orders stuck everywhere Most companies waited for the storm to pass Shiprocket didn’t They doubled down: They rolled out faster onboarding Cheaper shipping slabs Better tracking And they gave thousands of new D2C brands a way to survive when everything else was breaking That single decision to go all-in during chaos changed their trajectory. In just a few years: • Shiprocket became India’s largest D2C logistics aggregator • It started powering deliveries for 2.5 lakh+ online sellers • It built a network of 25+ courier partners with nationwide reach • It achieved unicorn status. And • It became the invisible backbone behind India’s fastest-growing D2C brands Simple. Powerful. And exactly what India’s new-age commerce needed #D2C
