"Should I build my new SaaS product MCP only?" I get asked this constantly, probably because I built the monday MCP, which is currently the 13th most popular integration on Claude. I've tried a lot of different answers. Here's the one that actually clicks for people: For 20 years we've had two platforms for accessing software: desktop and mobile. Now there's a third: agentic. Desktop and mobile are about the physical device. Agentic is a level above that. It's a language layer, interacted with through chat, voice, or thought (an agent can decide on its own that it needs to do something and choose monday as the backbone). So why does this framing matter? Once you see agentic as a platform and not a replacement, the answer becomes obvious. Mobile didn't kill desktop. Agentic won't kill either. It's just another medium layered on top. Which means the real question isn't "should I go MCP only." It's: → What platform best solve my core use-cases? (UI can often beat agents) → Who are my target customers? (Low Regulation? Technical? Early Adopters?) → Are they already interacting with software agentically, today, not hypothetically? Here's the part that might surprise you: based on the data I'm seeing, most people are still not accessing SaaS tools agentically. Purely agent driven use cases are the exception, not the norm. Not yet. So my honest advice: build desktop first or mobile first, depending on your use case, with agentic in mind. Don't skip the platform your users are actually on to chase where the hype says they'll be.

What if your monday account could flag its own security risks? Ryan Nigro & Alex B. from the Security Trust & Enablement team, built Sammi Security to do exactly that. Sammi audits your entire monday account - permissions, board access, configurations - spots what's wrong, and builds you a board with every issue and exactly how to fix it. Because bottom line: no one should need to be security experts to keep their data safe 🔒

This sentence would have made me pretty nervous not that long ago- Our social team has a new full-time member: His name is Max, and he’s an AI monday.com agent. 🤖 Max joined us to help manage the hundreds of signals that come through social, from mentions and DMs to product feedback and posts worth amplifying. ✨ Max taps into all of those, classifies them by risk level, drafts responses, and flags posts that might be worth resharing. His teammates review his work, correct him, and keep teaching him what good judgment looks like. Max is awesome, but definitely not perfect: His Hebrew needs work. He can’t post GIFs (yet). He occasionally misses an opportunity to engage. He sometimes suggests an answer that goes a little further than what we can actually disclose publicly. But that’s only human :-) Within a few weeks, he had perfectly changed the way the entire team works. We’re continuing to train Max by reviewing his responses and feeding our edits back into the system. As we get better at defining what good looks like, we can gradually automate more of the repetitive, low-risk work and spend more of our time on the things that actually need us. ⏭️ Next up - Max is gonna keep a running log of product feedback and feature requests coming through social, streamed as a useful input for our product teams. The best part of having an agent join as a team member is how work gets completely redesigned to let AI handle repetition, and people can spend more time on governance and creativity. Max is headed towards becoming an actual comms professional. ❤️ Big shoutout to Yuval Apeloig, who’s leading the work behind how we’re using AI across social, and to Ilan Manassen and Amy Bronstein, who’s been instrumental throughout the process, brainstorming with us, challenging our thinking and jumping in with technical support.

monday.com Vibe has been vibing lately ✨ Since Vibe has launched, they’ve added a lot of cool features, and it’s been fun seeing how much it has evolved. My favorite so far is “Select elements on the app to edit.” You can literally select the part you want to change, tell Vibe what you want, and it edits it for you. Such a simple feature, but it makes building and tweaking things so much quicker. I got the idea for this internal employee hub from the monday.com Partner Platform and thought, why not build something similar for our own team? Before Vibe, we were using monday dashboards and widgets for our internal hub, so I decided to recreate it with Vibe and see how far we could take it. Really enjoying the updates they’ve been rolling out since Vibe started. It keeps getting better 👀 Fruition Josh J.
