A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for Tech, Talent & Transformation: Advancing Excellence in Life Sciences. It was fantastic to bring together leaders from across industry, technology, education and workforce development for a morning of insightful discussion on the future of Ireland’s life sciences sector. Throughout the event, we explored how AI, automation, smart manufacturing and digital transformation are reshaping the sector, alongside the skills, talent and collaboration needed to support the workforce of the future. A special thank you to our MC, speakers, panellists and facilitators for sharing their expertise, practical insights and real-world experience throughout the morning. From TIA SKillnet 👇🏻 Meet the 2026 Emerging Tech Leaders We're delighted to see the 2026 Emerging Tech Leaders Programme now underway. Today marked the first on-site day at Lapp's Quay, Cork City, bringing together an excellent cohort of participants from eight different companies across the technology sector and beyond. The programme begins with The Role of the Tech Leader, setting the foundation for the leadership development journey ahead. We were delighted to visit the cohort today, with Annette Coburn representing Tech Industry Alliance Skillnet, alongside Ciara Kissane, Kevin Quigley and Miriam Cody from the IMI. For us at Tech Industry Alliance Skillnet, it's particularly rewarding to see the programme come to life and to bring together professionals from different organisations, with different experiences and perspectives, around a shared focus on developing stronger tech leadership. The programme is delivered by the Irish Management Institute in partnership with Tech Industry Alliance Skillnet, combining IMI's leadership expertise with our focus on developing capability within the technology sector. We'll be sharing more from the cohort over the coming months as the programme develops. After a thorough application, assessment and selection process, our new cohort has begun their journey towards developing the skills, experience and confidence to take their next step into technology. Over the coming weeks, participants will undertake funded technical training before moving into real workplace experience with technology employers - putting their learning into practice in a professional environment.
