Hey Kerron,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you are experiencing with receiving an international transfer.
To help clear things up, N26 accounts can receive both SEPA and SWIFT transfers, but they must be sent in Euros.
Because we do not perform currency conversion for incoming payments on our side, any transfer sent in a different currency will fail or be rejected.
We are unable to track transfers before they reach our system, but we recommend checking the following details with the sender:
- The Currency: Ensure the transfer was executed in Euros.
- The Name: The recipient's name must match the N26 account holder's full legal name exactly.
- The Account Type: If you use an N26 Business account, transfers can only be accepted under your official full name, not a company name.
If all the details are completely accurate and the funds still have not arrived, the sender will need to contact their bank directly to initiate a formal payment investigation.
For a complete breakdown of why transactions might be delayed or returned, please review our guide on the N26 Support Center: http://support.n26.com/en-eu/payments-transfers-and-withdrawals/transfers/why-did-my-sepa-transfer-fail
