Be careful about car Insurance

Beware of hidden fees, there's an excessive €30 charge for a first-time late payment or failed transaction. Additionally, auto-renewal is enabled by default and requires you to contact them a full 30 days before your contract ends to opt out. I won't be renewing my subscription.

Also watch out for auto-renew as it usually doubles on both car insurance and AA break-down assistance

AA LIES

I had proven that the AA agent who told me that they had cancelled my membership and refused to send a breakdown van to me was actually lying. So in time I wrote to the CEO of the AA to report this and to clarify if this was something he and the AA management condoned.I didnt even get the courtesy of a reply so i assume that this culture is endemic throughout the AA and that the senior management and the CEO see nothing wrong with this. I wonder if many others are AA members who are ignored and lied to when they try to avail of the AA contracted services.

Read the fine print

Read the fine print! For basic breakdown cover you can only be towed a maximum of 15km, with no option to get it towed further even for an additional fee.

Bob to the rescue

I was driving an older group of visitors from Dublin Airport to the city this AM whena tyre went flat. It's a Mercedes minibus with the spare fixed under the floor to the rear. I'd no idea how to remove it so via the insurance company the AA breakdown service responded promptly. Bob was just brilliant. Friendly, helpful and very efficient. Together we took the wheel to a nearby tyre shop where the tyre was replaced. Bob was patient and attentive at all times. I'm so glad we met him, he's a credit to your company. Thanks again from me and the gang.
