Got a price for the next year but it had increased significantly. When I phoned the agent was able to discount me down to close to what I’m paying this year

Came back with the AA and definitely they did not let me down like my last insurance.

The agent I dealt with to take a policy out was knowledgeable very efficient and went above and beyond to get me a price I couldn’t refuse!

I got a quote online from AA Ireland it was cheaper then my existing quote from a company I have been with a number of years it was also a bit cheaper again as I had AA Membership the person I dealt with was absolutely brilliant I also got cheaper house insurance from them very happy customer

I was with AA for a year, and their service has disappointed me on multiple occasions. First of all I got my car serviced with AA, I booked it due to a service discount which they “forgot to apply” and then continued to try charge around €1,300 for a car I brought to a mechanic and they said was perfectly fine. Secondly, I have recently left AA motor insurance due to their renewal offer being way higher than other providers. Lastly, I was encouraged to purchase AA membership for all these benefits I never used, they doubled the price after I cancelled my membership and continued charging me as it’s a “separate product” but never once thought to inform me over the phone when I was cancelling. I feel like it’s constantly hassle with this company. I wouldn’t recommend.

…Then tried in contact on instagram only to have an automated reply saying that ‘we’re currently away’!!!!

Now on hold for 40 minutes with a receptionist picking up only to be told she has to transfer me... Bonkers

Then emailed them to call me so I don't have to waste more of my time.. only to for the reply that they'll get back in 2-3 days!!!

Shocking customer service - will think twice about renewing with them again!!

Got to me within a decent amount of time, given it was Halloween night. Very helpful and explained about the issue and was able to help resolve the fault to get me home.

Awful company!

This is my second review on this. Long story short I was left in a dangerous situation of a breakdown. Took AA over 6 hours to come out with no communication. Customer service is shocking. Made a formal complaint and 2 months later still waiting for someone to contact me. When I call I'm left waiting for a long time and get no where. Got a reply to my review saying they apologize and to contact them again which I did and still being ignored. Honestly I don't know how this company is in business!

George was both knowlegable and helpful. He was clear in answering all my questions. He also checked with a manager which I appreciated.

My wife's car broke down today on the M3. The AA said they would be approx 60-80mins before they would get out to her. That was 4hours ago and they still have not arrived. Everytime she rang for a update they said they would be with her in a few minutes. Absolute Disgrace!!

AA never deserve even one star I just put it down to be able to write my review, for breakdown assistance 1 full day I am waiting to get my car to be towed to the nearest garage they didn't still show up, they are the most useless company I have ever seen, they takes direct debit from my bank every month but for one time towing my car they didn't show up after 6 times calling. 👎👎

I would strongly advise avoiding this company for car insurance. For two consecutive years their agents have made errors on my daughter's car insurance/renewal. Lasy year they admitted the error and I was charged the correct fee quoted, that was after I argued the case and pointed out the error made by their agent.

This year however, even after receiving a transcribe of my renewal call where you can clearly hear the agent stating that the price quoted includes breakdown assist etc. the company have continued to insist additional costs of almost €250 which they took from my bank card are correct and will not be discussed any further. The call clearly shows that I explained to the agent that I could not access the link to the renewal documentation, the agent stated that this often happens and went on to assure me on no less than 4 occasions the price quoted on the day included breakdown assist.

I have taken some very good advice from the CCPC and am currently in the process of lodging a formal complaint with fspo.ie on this matter

After receiving a response to this revoew from the AA (see below) I reached out, as requested, and provided a copy of the emails, call recordings and the response letter received. I then received the following email on 4th Nov.:

No phone call, or further response with regards to the matters raised. A further waste of my time. I suppose after my previous experience I shouldn't have expected much more.

Terrible, the service / contact us email are totally useless !!!! I’ve emailed asked for no claims bonus 4 times and they rmail back saying “resolved” and it is in fact not resolved or uploaded, or they sent me one that my new insurance couldn’t even accept as there was no dates on it !!

Simple step and brief

Just got billed double the membership price this year without any sort of notification. Just saw the charge on my card. Something similar happened with my partner recently too. That is fraud!! Breakdown cover is available much cheaper online from reputable companies. Cancelled my membership!

The company is very easy work with and very helpful in getting the rite quote and helping in anything and the aa breakdown are an excellent service crazy not to be with them
