POOR SERVICE
In April 2025, we purchased a Liebherr freezer and refrigerator from Skousen in Nørresundby. The purchase experience was fine, and we were assured that this was a top-quality product with no issues.
About six months later, the freezer broke down in the middle of the night with an “EL error” and severe temperature fluctuations. We tried repeatedly to contact Skousen, but the phone was not answered and emails went unanswered.
When we went to the store in person, we were told that Skousen takes no responsibility for service or repairs after the sale, and that the issue could not even be reported until after the weekend. The case was then passed on to the manufacturer, who appointed C.J. Hvidevareservice in Aalborg as the local service provider.
C.J. Hvidevareservice informed us that spare parts had to be ordered, initially with a 14-day waiting time, which was later extended. Meanwhile, the freezer operated unstably, with temperatures fluctuating between -20°C and -5°C. Throughout this entire period, Skousen was completely absent and provided no follow-up or assistance.
Only after we personally contacted Liebherr’s service partner (Witt) were we informed that a known temporary solution existed and should have been implemented by C.J. Hvidevareservice. The following day, the freezer was finally repaired — more than a month after the failure occurred.
Conclusion:
Skousen in Nørresundby, Denmark sells premium-priced products but completely distances itself from customers once problems arise. High price and a well-known brand are no guarantee of good service when something goes wrong.
Witt should have more control over what their appointed Service providers do or not do, for their customers
Other that that it seems CRAZY to us, that this pricy product has this poor service
