Shadow PC used to be great about 4 years ago.
They even had German support back then. Unfortunately, the company smelled the big money and started selling more virtual machines (VMs) than their infrastructure can actually handle.
Support is now only available in French and English. On top of that, they changed the terms and conditions without properly notifying existing customers and hid a so-called “Fair Use Policy” in the fine print. There are now time limits – and if you want to use your Shadow more, you have to pay extra.
To me, this is clearly a rip-off. I was very satisfied with the service, but I can no longer say that today. It used to run smoothly and you could connect quickly. Now you practically get an error message every time you try to start it.
Absolutely terrible service! Shadow PC constantly fails to work properly, and I often have to wait at least an hour just to get the damn thing started. The customer support is just as useless and never actually helps solve anything. All you get are pointless standard replies instead of real solutions. Honestly, I have no idea how a company can sell such an unreliable and frustrating service to paying customers. What exactly are we paying for if we can't even use the service properly?
My advice: STAY AWAY FROM SHADOW PC! No matter how cheap the subscription is, it's simply not worth the endless problems, wasted time and frustration. Save yourself the headache and spend your money elsewhere. Absolutely disgraceful service!
Unbelievably terrible service with an infinite number of interruptions and a complete lack of respect for the customer.
They also just introduced MANDATORY 2fa which is a definite sign I'll be cancelling my subscription. The only thing to enjoy about this service was the easy login without 2fa but they've even ruined that.
The service shuts down randomly without warning while in the MIDDLE of work...and furthermore its frequently requiring update which means if your using it for work, dont plan on being on time.

Today (Oct 28, 2026), Shadow emailed me to say my rig was being mandatorily moved out of Frankfurt due to server congestion, promising "similar or lower latency". When I saw they shipped my machine to France, I looked at a map from Sweden, assumed basic geography meant my latency was doomed, and briefly nuked my 5 star rating in pure panic.
Well, this is awkward. I just tested the new French server, and my ping is the exact same. Turns out Shadow's network engineers know a bit more about European fiber routing than an angry guy staring at a map.
My bad for jumping the gun. False alarm, my perfect 5 star review score is back where it belongs, and nearly 2 years in, my original review below still stands completely.
MY ORIGINAL 5 STAR REVIEW (Oct 14, 2025):
"Unmatched offering, truly a glorious product. I’ve been using Shadow PC for 9 months (Pro advanced, Server location EU, Frankfurt, connecting from Sweden) and rely on it regularly. Issues are extremely rare, and support is excellent. The value you get from Shadow is unmatched anywhere else at this price. Given all that, I’ll happily remain a customer moving forward."
SHADOW'S OFFICIAL REPLY (Oct 14, 2025):
"Thank you very much for your detailed review, Anders. We are really happy to receive your 5-star rating and truly appreciate your enthusiasm! It is encouraging to know that our product’s performance and support meet your high expectations, even while connecting from Sweden to our EU server in Frankfurt. Your satisfaction and ongoing trust are exactly what we strive to achieve. Should you ever have any questions or further suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us via the support options in your Shadow account. #TeamShadow"

Misleading claims. No refunds in EU. Completely illigal.

It’s a great service that has already allowed me to play many system-intensive games on ultra-high settings without any issues; the price is reasonable, and 210 hours is more than enough for a month. It would be absolutely ideal if there were separate profiles, such as a “gaming” profile—one that would be supported and run exclusively on gaming hardware (100% gaming graphics cards and processors like the RTX 5090, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, etc.) — and a “professional” profile (for other tasks, i.e., for work purposes). I’m confident that this kind of diversification would significantly optimize the service’s functionality.

They advertise that their service is suitable for industrial software, but in practice many industrial applications struggle with it because all virtual machines appear to have the same machine ID. In addition, a lot of software does not work properly due to the hardware architecture and missing CPU features.
I contacted Shadow Support and explained the issue, asking either for a fix or a refund. They told me that it was a problem with the software I was using and refused to issue a refund, referring me to their Terms of Service — even though I had requested a refund only a few hours after purchasing the service.
The customer service was absolutely terrible. I informed them that I would dispute the charge with Visa and initiate a chargeback. Even then, they still refused to refund the money for a product that did not work as advertised.
I filed a chargeback and received my money back.
Absolutely unprofessional behavior and a very disappointing experience.

Not great. I basically have to re-install the app every 2-3 days to make it work. support is slow and mostly automated bot messages.

I cancelled my Shadow PC subscription, yet it was allegedly reactivated through my account without my intentional consent. This has happened to me before.
Support keeps blaming the customer without providing convincing evidence. This repeated pattern is unacceptable and feels like a deceptive subscription practice.
I strongly do not recommend Shadow PC. Fortunately, there are alternative cloud PC providers that I would trust more.

I've been using the Shadow for 3.5 years. I've been really in favor for the idea of cloud pc to stay flexible and agile but the issues i had in recent times force me to cancel my subscription indefinitely. Windows intstances somehow stop working after a few months and the only solution of Support is to reset the pc, but hey what will happen to time i spent on building that pc? and also i hate to have connection issues when i want to use the pc for a short time then i'm spending hour to troubleshoot and communicate with the support. I'm sorry but i'm a customer, not a Shadow employee.

Terrible experience, worked fine first few days no issues then stopped due to terrible lag and latency, as well as other error codes. My internet was working just fine and I even had my provider come out, perform resets, upgrade equipment but no use. Used it maybe 5 out of my 30 day subscription. Waste of money and time. Customer service does not work in your favor.

I've had shadow for years, and i must say no issues at all. until recently I had an issue with billing and thought speaking to customer service would help. Boy was I wrong. Instead, i was met with the most unprofessional team of agents. There was no willingness to help resolve the issue or even an attempt to rectify towards the new billing period next month. I no longer plan to use their platform and will look into an actual gaming PC.

I bought Shadow NWO Lite for one month and it only worked for 3 days. The rest of the time it was always under maintenance, it’s so ridiculous I don’t even know whether to laugh or cry. And they don’t refund anything — those tickets they send are just to make the user waste time.Going almost a month without the service I’m paying for is unacceptable; you’re a bunch of crooks—based on what I’ve read online, the least you could do to make amends is credit me for the days I was without Shadow, but you don’t even do that; it’s just ticket after ticket with no resolution whatsoever.

Need work, why do my pc running into problems in problems when using this app, but my pc dont run into problems when not using it, the price should be cheaper for the problem

Have an entire webpage dedicated to advertising VR gaming at ‘PC level graphics’. This was not the case and I’ve been told by the company that they do not support VR gaming.
It’s a predatory subscription service that falsely advertise, avoid like the plague.

Shadows is a great way to play on the old FIFA's, as they are not available to use on the newer mac models. I have been enjoying using the PC to play Aurora FUT 15.
However, tell me why, I've paid £25 per MONTH, to use a computer in FRANCE?? France. Why? I think the fact its given me a PC from France, when I'm located in the UK is a joke, considering their annual price would equate to almost £300 per year!
All this PC does is lag, it's full of lag spikes, and packet loss, and before you criticise my internet, my internet is routed through a booster and averages around 4ms-20ms, so there isn't a problem with my WI-FI.
I think for £25 per month, you should get a beer, meals and a bed paid for, because £25pm for this crap is NOT worth it.

I really want to like this service but after 2 months I will be canceling. Controllers do not work many times when playing. I don't have a lot of time to play so if something glitches I just give up. Picture quality is not very good. I can over look that but when my Bluetooth controller does not respond or has horrible delays. Just no. It feels like banging my head against a wall at times.

The servers are extremely laggy, and they refused to give me a refund even though I barely used the PC. The desktop app is also full of bugs and crashes frequently. Overall, my experience has been terrible, and I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone.
