Visited Ebbw Vale Wetherspoon it was awful. Asked for jacket potato with tuna the tuna smelled off returned for a bean and cheese jacket potato but got a jacket potato, beans and salad which I didn’t eat. Utensils were dirty, a pot of sauce was dirty, the bowl was dirty. Staff were friendly and polite but outside of that the experience wasn’t good.

Trips to The Pavilion Wetherspoons Ramsgate

We thoroughly enjoy our weekly trips to the Pavillion Ramsgate. Enjoy people watching from the outside seating overlooking the sandy beach. Food is excellent value. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Kerrie, Mel and a chap called Malcolm being their latest edition. Nothing is too much trouble, Service with a smile!

Cold breakfast

I have just had a breakfast at The Old Manor in Bracknell with a friend and was quite disappointed. The egg and bacon were only just tepid - not even warm!!! I don't know if they cook food and wait for the next order but they must have been cooked quite a while before arriving in front of us!!!! The coffee from the coffee machine machine was also not hot, I got my coffee and had to drink it quite quickly before it for even colder!!! We will be going back to a nice not fresh breakfast at the Hungry Horse with a nice hot coffee for our next one!!!

Stayed at Guildhall & Linen Exchange in Dunfermline.
Accommodation & food was excellent.
Our room was spacious, clean & comfortable.
Beer was cheaper than pubs & service was super efficient.

If I come to the area again I would certainly stay here again.
Thank you Guildhall & Linen Exchange 👍

Dreadful - Customer Service not interested.

Dreadful. Had a bad experience recently and complained online. Website acknowledged my complaint and said I'd get a response shortly but now (over 2 weeks later) still no response. It's clear that JD Wetherspoons are no longer interested in customers and happy to serve bad food. (Recommend Stonegate Pubs for better food, better service, better atmosphere and better value)

Attended this pub tonight

Attended this pub tonight. I’m a retired Police officer. Playing fruit machine and approached by a Staff member who said switch machine of now. Ok, then he said I was in last week and racially abused someone calling them a P word? I presume he meant Paki? I haven’t been in the pub for 5 weeks. I tried to defend myself and was surrounded by security staff who proceeded to push and bully me. Awful experience and I have not got a racist bone in my body. Awful experience

Bad customer service i got verbally abused by a manager

Had a serious complaint to make after having some issues with the app at a whetherspoon branch I selected my location it even come up to confirm but when the order went through it diverted to a different pub and even when I showed staff it kept happening. I had to call the other pub the Golden Grove and the manager there was very rude to me I have never experienced anything like it before. I put a complaint in with head office and they don't seem to care either and now im left out of pocket.

Used to be a lovely pub for a family…

Used to be a lovely pub for a family meal, but the clothiers arms in Yeadon recently got a new manager, Lee. Since then, the pub is nearly empty. He is rude to staff, rude to customers, and if you make a civilised complaint, rather than deal with it professionally, he victimises the customers making them feel vulnerable. Not going there again while he's in charge

Visited Lincoln City

Visited Lincoln City - The Square Sail. Was there for breakfast and it was gross. How do you manage to send out an English breakfast where half the food is cold and half of it was warm!? My bacon, hash browns, eggs and mushrooms were cold but the beans and sausage were warm!! The hash browns were oily and gross tasting because it's clear they haven't changed the oil in the fryer the colour of the hash browns was close to brown, not burnt just cooked in dirty oil. Bacon was cold, mushroom was cold, should have had tomatos but there wasn't any. Very disappointing. Learn to plate food up properly to ensure the food doesn't go could before the rest of it does.

Customer services needs special training to look after their customers

I would like to express my disappointment following a recent visit to a Wetherspoon branch in Liverpool during a family gathering.

There were 12 of us, and we decided to enjoy breakfast at Wetherspoon, attracted by its great reputation. Upon arrival, the restaurant was quite busy, and we noticed a display encouraging customers to use the Wetherspoon App. I decided to give it a try. The app was easy to download, and with my location turned on, I selected our breakfast items and paid. Meanwhile, other members of my family went directly to the bar to place their orders.

After some time, everyone else had received their orders except for my husband and me. Concerned, I approached the bar to inquire, only to be told by the manager that my order had been sent to a different branch. The manager explained that I would need to collect the order from the other restaurant or reorder at this branch. This was highly inconvenient as we were unfamiliar with Liverpool, and leaving the family gathering to find the other location was not a practical option.

I explained the situation, highlighting that this was my first time using the app and visiting Liverpool. Despite this, the manager was unwilling to assist further, citing company policy. I was left with no choice but to reorder and lose the money paid for the initial order.

To make matters worse, the manager’s attitude throughout the ordeal was dismissive and unprofessional. She did not offer to call the other branch, provide their contact details, or even apologize for the inconvenience. Instead, she walked away abruptly, leaving me feeling humiliated in front of my family and other customers.

This experience was deeply disappointing, and I feel let down by the lack of empathy and support from the staff. I followed the app’s instructions and cannot understand why the app’s location service failed, leading to such a frustrating experience.
I filed an official complaint online with customer service, and to my surprise, their response was the same—they blamed me for ordering from the wrong restaurant. In reality, I was sitting inside the restaurant when I placed the order. Now, customer service has decided to ignore my email altogether. It’s incredibly disappointing to have such experiences with a company of this size.

Manager's Attitude and Service Were Appalling

The moon and stars - Romford

Absolutely appalled by the service we received today. What should have been a special, memorable afternoon celebrating my son's 21st birthday turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered.

We chose to spend the day on the rooftop, enjoying the sunshine with my 67-year-old disabled mother, my son (the birthday boy), his girlfriend, their 1-year-old daughter, and his best friend. However, we were shocked when the bar staff refused to serve my son — after he had already been served one beer — claiming they needed to "query his age" under instruction from the manager.

Despite it being abundantly clear that we were there to celebrate his 21st (with a balloon, cake, and gifts all saying "21st"), and despite showing his digital passport and driving licence stored on my phone, the staff still refused to accept it as valid. The manager was rude, refused to even provide his name or details on how to make a formal complaint, and showed no understanding or respect.

My son, his girlfriend, and his friend had only one drink each, and neither myself nor my mother are drinkers — we were a quiet, respectable group simply trying to celebrate a milestone. Being a Monday, wanting something simple, in the sunshine, on my lunch break, prior to his party on the weekend.

Today's experience was deeply disappointing. The treatment we received was completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and upsetting. We won't be returning, and I strongly urge others to think twice before visiting if they expect even basic respect and customer care.

I will not be recommending this place to anyone expecting decent customer service.
