Slow service
Slow service. You get a link to attach documents and to write to the company about the problem and nothing happens there no “thank you for your post we are considering your case” it is like you are sending posts into a big black hole. You have to call and reiterate the communication.

Not a good insurance for expats
Not recommended for expats. We are leaving Denmark and thought that it would still be possible to be covered by GF for a little while after the move. Things can go wrong, especially when it comes to the resignation of our apartment, but GF doesn’t do that. Very disappointed.
Another bad xp: my bike was stolen but they said it was too old (still worth about 4000 DKK) so they did not cover. The only thing they care about is to get the monthly payments.

Regarding your move, Danish insurance policies, including ours at GF are legally and geographically bound to the Danish CPR-register and the physical borders of the country. Once you officially move your registered address abroad, we are legally unable to maintain your coverage, even for a short transitional period during the resignation of your apartment. I apologize that this was not made clear to you earlier.
Regarding your stolen bike, I completely understand your frustration. When a bike is stolen, we use standard depreciation tables based on the age of the bike to calculate the payout. Even if a bicycle is well maintained and holds a high utility value to you, the age based depreciation can unfortunately result in a zero payout according to the policy terms. I take your feedback regarding the lack of clarity for expats very seriously.

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. We were denied a claim based on some ambiguous phrasing of the insurance policy. We asked for clarification and to escalate to the complaint department, as it is our right, multiple times. We've been writing to them for two months and never got a reply. "but why don't you call them?", because I don't trust what they'll say and I want to have a written paper trail of whatever vague excuse they're gonna come up with for rejecting us.
If they don't reply within 7 days, I'll cancel the policy anyway, so at least we're sure they won't keep taking our money for providing no service at all.
Insurance companies are the worst by principle but these one is really only after your money without providing anything in exchange.

Home insurance
I have had my home insurance with gf for 2 years now and have been happy with them up until our first insurance claim. When we signed on with them we were told that the bike insurance covered any accidents related to our bikes. My girlfriend was hit by another bike and the bike took some severe damage. GF declined with reference to a very arbitrary clause that made it possible for them to decline based on it being a traffic accident. Wouldn’t recommend them
