I used Michael to retrofit a full NBT system to an E39 M5.

Michael provided the full system, delivered and installed at the warehouse where I stored the car in Waterford.

The install was excellent, there was a minor issue with a trim piece being broken, hardly a surprise on what was a 16 year old car at the time but Michael insisted on correcting the situation, which he did and I was appreciative of it.

After the install was complete, Michael kept in contact, the surround for the screen was custom made as the E39 had never been designed to accommodate the screen, the one Michael original supplied was slightly off colour, it didn't bother me that much but I was again appreciative of the effort.

I had one issue with the system following the retrofit, where the unit would freeze or reboot, Michael suspected that it could have been memory exhaustion of the unit, offered to take back my NBT unit and allow me to pay the difference.

There's a lot of negativity toward this man that surprises me, I'm very particular and would generally consider myself as someone with a high attention to detail and I could not fault the work, especially given this was all custom.

Michael Riva is a blackmailer and known around UK and Ireland, did I mention Northern Ireland (oops) spreads lies and deceit everywhere he goes but is a real coward - never sent me the headunit for E90 and robbed me blind - Riva is not so smart as he thinks cause he's left a digital footprint

People beware of this scam artist, I ordered nbt and other sound equipment from this guy he said he needed 2000 upfront so I foolishly paid, he then the next day demanded more money as my car needed "special nbt" I knew that was rubbish so I refused... he then told me to forget about the money I paid or he would destroy my character online... which he tried doing so I'm down 2000euro but I among others are taking action against this Michael Riva client so people beware he has multiple accounts and names on various buy and sell sites. Comic book guy out of the Simpsons is his description.

Never shipped me the items I bought and paid 450€ for. This guy is a thief.

I'm also one of Michael Riva ( germaniks.com ) victims, he stole goods for ~ 2000 eur and he is putting false information about me in various websites

I'm lost with words if I am honest, has done so many jobs its incredible at this stage.
Have spent thousands of Euro at many different garages trying to get a sound upgrade,
yet these clowns just mess around and are only interested in your money, Michael on the other hand very reliable Bmw Agent.

Mick Riva stole my 600euros for emulator.I payed in december 2016,than he told me that he doesnt have emulator and will ship ot on april,but he never done it.Than he told me his phone number and promissed to send me my money back,but than the number stopped to work and nobodx answered.This guy is a thief!

Scam artist...Mick Riva owes me an NBT EVO Headunit for my E46 and new carsystems adapter.

In november I ordered a NBT Evo unit to replace my F07 unit. I paid the 50% for the order and the other when it will be ready.
He contacted me to send the last 50% because my order was ready to ship.

I contacted him, he said he had problems with his suppliers but why he said it was ready ?
Micheal Riva has never delivered the ordered parts, he promises to refunded me, but nothing...
I feel angry !
And now impossible to join him.

Want to make this effort to keep people away from this scumbag company run by Michael Riva. He is very quick to answer your questions and take your money, but then disappears for weeks at a time with no updates other than he's too busy to let you know anything.

I placed a couple of orders with him and never had a smooth experience till my last and final order of $2,000 where he disappeared with my money and never contacted me again!

Last year Christmas ordered a NBT Evo unit to replace my broken unit. Send him defect unit and he would see if he could repair. Bought a full NBT Evo kit with cables, etc.
Micheal Riva has never delivered the ordered parts, returned my unit or refunded me. He promises to do so, but was not even willing to part deliver. Be aware there are more people that have been scammed by Micheal Riva.
I was reffered to Germaniks by carsystems.com.au and he is still listed as a distributor. It all looks legit and perhaps in the past he did honor his agreements, but not anymore.

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to give a warning against Germaniks (Michael Riva / BMWPlanetDude). Last September, I bought an NBT Evo unit, screen and cables. I opted for NBT Evo as it seemed much more capable than NBT unit. I was unaware of the fact that it was a ID4 unit originally with only 2GB RAM upgraded to run ID5/ID6. After months of chasing, Mick eventually delivered my unit to me a few days before Christmas. During testing before the install, I immediately noticed a high-pitched buzzing from the screen, and sent a message to Mick with a video. It also crashes constantly, and is completely unfit for purpose. I sent it back, and Mick upgraded the firmware saying it would resolve the crashing - it didn't. He gave me a new voltage regulator, and this didn't resolve the screen buzzing, which he said he couldn't hear. For something he said I would have back within few days, it took around a month to return, during which time I really considered contacting the Police.

I've finally managed to get in contact with Mick again, and he is refusing to honour warranty on a faulty product. I've asked for it to be swapped to an NBT unit, or an NBT Evo 4GB as previously agreed on the phone, but he has declined.

Please do not purchase anything from him. I know he had a good reputation previously, but this has certainly not been the case in recent months. I don't want anyone losing out on the amount of money I have.
