Violation of Consumer Rights – Refund and Communication Failure
I placed my order with Fundis Equestrian on 29 October, expecting professional service from a reputable EU company. Instead, I’ve had one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with an online shop.
Fundis split my order into a partial shipment without my consent, even though I had clearly refused this option because of the high customs fees. Later, they cancelled the rest of my order without informing me, and I only found out through my bank’s refund SMS — no email, no explanation.
Even worse, they kept the full shipping fee even though I received only half of my order, and did not reinstate my €100 voucher that I had used for the purchase.
Their own policy says they “completely refrain from partial deliveries,” but they did exactly that. After several messages, they stopped replying altogether.
This violates EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 13(1), which requires sellers to refund all payments received from the consumer, including delivery costs, when the seller cancels or fails to fulfil the contract.
I am filing official complaints with ECC Germany, Konsumentverket Sweden, and the Universalschlichtungsstelle des Bundes.
I’m posting this here to warn other customers about Fundis’ unprofessional handling of refunds and communication.
