Gran Caneria - Maspalomas
We recently came back from a lovely holiday in Gran Caneria. And whilst wandering around we stumbled upon the Fund Grube, and they had a huge sale. We couldn’t believe our luck. A lovely lady called Lara, came to our assistance. Giving us samples and sticks with sprayed perfume. She couldn’t have been more helpful. We settled with the 200ml of refill Carolina Herrera, Prada Paradigme and suncream. She gave us a token for €15 off if we spend over €99 (if they were white label). The prada and suncream were white label and took us over €99. However, we were struggling when we got to the till. As the products weren’t proving the discount. She explained to the manager in Spanish, and she tried to sort it out. She told us not to worry at all. Our overall total for the 3 items was like €222. The manager sorting the till, said she’d figured it out and had taken off the €15. Which, I knew the price hadn’t changed. But, I was happy with the price so just left it. Whilst that was happening, Lara had directed my partner to a nearby toilet whilst I paid. When I was looking lost trying to figure out where she went, Lara noticed came over and directed me. I asked her about the discount on the receipt and she said it hadn’t come off. She took me back in the store and sorted it for me. We couldn’t be more grateful for how much she helped us. She was incredible. And we couldn’t thank her enough.
We went back to the store a couple days later to pick up some other items, as the sale was still on. And a lovely lady called Lourdes helped us with some items we were looking for. She also provided scents to us. And made sure we were okay. We had a few items that we’d picked out for Christmas ect. And noticed that Ray Bans also had a sale on. She was incredibly helpful, in getting us the glasses we wanted. And even showing us the discount for the additional €15 off. She was incredibly helpful with getting us discounts, prices and items we couldn’t find. She was looking in the back for things, getting new glasses, cases ect. We were honestly blessed by these two women. We said to Lourdes about writing a review for the two of them. And she was so honoured that we had considered doing that for them.
If we come back to Gran Caneria, we will definitely be back to again show our appreciation to these two ladies. There was a lovely gentleman there too, I believe his name was Arvil. He helped a lot with our issues and we appreciate his help a lot.
Fund Grube is so lucky to have these workers. And we’re so grateful we got served by such kind hearted, generous and caring people. Thank you Lara and Lourdes 🫶🙏
The vistasur fungrube store was…terrible
The vistasur fungrube store was extremely rude, they followed us around the store and they spoke in Spanish to each other and giggled. They left us stood there for ages whilst the had a 10 min phone call. They asked to look in our bag when they saw we had just paid and she said the alarm had gone off (which it didn’t) just terrible women in the store thinking they are something special instead of helping the customers.

I went to the Fund Grube store in Gran Caneria and it was fab.
I went to the Fund Grube store in the commercial centre in Gran Caneria. I was helped by the most loveliest lady called Hemixa. I was looking for a specific obscure aftershave that I had previously seen and missed out on. She helped me navigate the store and find that specific aftershave. She walked me around and recommended various others that I may like. She managed to find me another aftershave that I fell in love with. She was a great sales assistant and helped me walk away with 2 aftershaves. She is a credit to the store. She made me feel so welcome and had a good laugh with me throughout. Massive thank you to Hemixa you were so helpful. ❤️
I went to the store in Las Palmas
I went to the store in Las Palmas. I had a discount card from Jet 2 Airlines. I looked at a product and asked what the discount might be. The male staff member was dismissive and rude. He took great pride in telling me that my potential purchase was too low in cost for a discount. He was looking down his nose at me as if I was skint. I had Italian jeans on, a pair of Lecoste trainers and an Aquasctutum shirt, but he was smug and happy that I couldn't afford what he called 'higher end gear.'
The pricing was weird in the store, some things were more than the British highstreet. However, there were some good offers on things like quality women's purfumes, but I deliberately retrained myself from buying them because of the smug, disnissive behaviour from the sales agent. Tough luck to Fund Grube. People skills should be a pre-requisite for your stores, but clearly this was lacking in Las Palmas.
I went to the store opening in Caleta…
I went to the store opening in Caleta de Fuste last week as I wanted to buy some Dolce & Gabbana make. The store was busy but after approaching three members of staff for help on each occasion they started to assist other customers. One woman wanted help with L’Oréal products and the other woman wasn’t even going to buy anything she just wanted to know the price. I walked out in disgust. I can only assume it was because we were British as the other two customers were German. Won’t be going back ever. Discount prices to me meant discount service.
Very fast delivery!
Appalled by experience
I was in a Fund Grube in Puerto Del Carmen this morning, as soon as I entered the shop the staff were circling me, not being helpful nor kind either. The level of customer service was appalling especially from an employee “Marga” who was very disrespectful and grabbed products out of my hand while I was viewing other products. She then walked away from me when I was trying to purchase a product from the Pandora stand and I had to approach her to ask her to come back. Her level of ignorance and customer service was horrific and I was ashamed to be even purchasing from this store. I also had a voucher to use and when purchasing she ignorantly told me I couldn’t use it because of “special products” I was purchasing. Safe to say I am appalled by the level of kindness, management and care for customers by this shop.
Disappointed with Product Quality and After-Sales Service
I purchased a pair of Nike Radeon 1 M sunglasses from Fund Grube in Gran Canaria on 30 July 2025 while on holiday. Less than two weeks later, the frame snapped near the hinge screw under normal use.
I contacted customer service with detailed photos and my receipt, expecting a straightforward replacement or refund, especially as the sunglasses were almost new and in otherwise perfect condition. Unfortunately, my request was refused, with the claim that there were “signs of use” inconsistent with their return policy.
Under EU and Spanish consumer law, products have a minimum 2–3 year legal guarantee against manufacturing defects, and if a fault occurs within the first year, it is assumed to have existed at the time of sale unless the seller proves otherwise. Despite this, Fund Grube declined to resolve the matter.
It’s disappointing that a store selling premium brands does not stand by the quality of the products it sells, particularly for customers who cannot easily return to the island. My experience has left me questioning both the durability of the product and the fairness of Fund Grube’s after-sales service.
I hope this review encourages others to check items carefully before leaving the store and to be aware of their consumer rights.
Update:
Following my original review, Fund Grube responded publicly claiming my sunglasses showed “significant signs of wear and tear, including multiple scratches and abrasion marks” and that this was “typically caused by external force.”
I strongly disagree with this description. The photos I provided and which I am happy to share clearly show the sunglasses were in excellent overall condition, with no damage other than a snapped hinge near the screw.
The hinge failure occurred suddenly and is entirely consistent with a manufacturing defect. Under EU and Spanish consumer law, a defect appearing within the first year is presumed to have been present at the time of sale unless the seller can prove otherwise. In my case, Fund Grube have provided no proof, only an assertion.
Unfortunately, instead of honouring their legal obligations or even proposing a repair, Fund Grube have chosen to mischaracterise the condition of the product in order to deny the claim. This is disappointing and has eroded my trust in their after-sales service.
I would encourage other shoppers to inspect goods thoroughly before purchase, keep all receipts, and be aware of your consumer rights if purchasing while on holiday.
Update – Case Escalated to European Consumer Centre
Following Fund Grube’s refusal to honour the warranty for my sunglasses (purchased 30 July 2025) and their public claim that they showed “significant wear and tear,” I have now escalated this case to the UK International Consumer Centre for referral to the European Consumer Centre in Spain.
All correspondence, photographs, and Fund Grube’s public responses have been submitted as evidence. I’ll let others decide whether my photos show “significant wear and tear,” but the breakage happened within days of purchase under normal use.

Great service
Problem dealt with quickly and resolved.
A lot of the staff are generally…
A lot of the staff are generally unhelpful, unpleasant and almost rude. There are 2 or 3 staff who are actually decent and pleasant. Bargains to be had but beware, you will be treated like a shoplifter! Have visited this store numerous times on numerous holidays for particular items that I always purchase as they are cheap. However I can honestly say it isn't an enjoyable experience. The guy in there is so pushy and could sell you your own clothes you are wearing. Be firm with him!

Warning about Fund Grube store.I bought…
Warning about Fund Grube store.I bought a Sami watched 28th January 2024 day before we left for home but just 2 days later the watch stopped working.Took it to a jewellers back home where they replaced the battery but was told the watch was faulty.Even though I had a 12 month guarantee they would not exchange or refund when I arrived here on the 10th January claiming our guarantee was void as i had taken it into a jewellers back home who had interfered with the watch. We have purchased shoes, clothes etc over the many years we have been coming to CT but will never set foot in the store again.
Beware of buying anything and especially a watch from them.Their after sales attitude and service awful.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. I ordered online and was sent an email with a tracking link which had no information. When I emailed them they said that the address was wrong. It was not. They then said that they would refund when we sent the item back. We NEVER received it! I've now taken a case out with paypal and and am waiting for the response. Don't go near them!
Not impressed, mislead
Not impressed, feel slightly conned. Was given a discount voucher, went into Funde Grube in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria. Armed with voucher I decided to purchase 2 bottles of perfume, on way to till I asked assistant if I could use the voucher and because of amount spend did I qualify for the bigger discount, answer yes. Got to till was told could only purchase 1 bottle! Paid and left store, checked receipt outside of store and thought nope discount not applied. Went back into store to query was told can’t use voucher “very good price madam”!!! So vouchers don’t be fooled they don’t honor the offer. It’s all very misleading
