I have resided in Denmark for several years and until recently generally found the airport to be organized and efficient. However, the introduction of EES photos and fingerprinting has caused profound delays for both departures and arrivals, even for those not subject to EES. The queues are long in many places, making walking around them difficult. There are insufficient passport control lanes in general, and at times the lanes for EES-exempt travelers are closed, meaning everyone goes thru the slow and long EES queues. And because passport control is so slow, baggage claim is a wreck, with baggage from multiple flights stacked up on the conveyor belts and in the aisles waiting for their owners to get through passport control. Given the volume of travelers thru CPH, I don’t see the situation improving until they have more passport control police on duty and build more passport control lanes. I don’t know whether EES has made the Schengen Zone safer, but it has certainly made CPH airport far less efficient.

Super long security and checking, stressed staff.

I recently traveled through Copenhagen Airport, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

The biggest problem was passport control. The waiting time was far too long, and the queue management was poor. I have traveled through airports in developing countries where passport control was much faster and better organized.

To make matters worse, several people tried to cut in line, which led to arguments between passengers. At one point, the situation almost turned into a physical fight because there was no effective control of the queue.

Copenhagen Airport is an important international gateway, and I expected a much higher standard. The airport management should take this issue seriously, improve staffing, and organize passport control more efficiently to prevent unnecessary delays and conflicts.

I hope the management addresses these problems soon, as the current experience does not reflect the quality expected from one of Scandinavia's major airports.

I mean really, how is it possible that an airport of this size cannot manage luggage?! Always a pain, always such a long wait. Welcome to Copenhagen ?!!!

Worst airport in the world. 2 people for passport control, 2 to 3 hours waiting. Not clean. No service.

Immigration lines were ridiculous. For the amount of traffic they have funneling through here, they need more than six immigration lanes. In line for 30
Minutes and it’s barely moved.

The worst airport ever. Passport control took more than 2 hours. Very unprofessional staff. The system is chaotic. There were only 3 lanes for non-EU citizens and they let crew members and other passengers constantly cut in.

Not enough toilets, not enough seating, and none of the power outlets work. I literally checked 8 outlets before I found a functioning one. Half the airport also looks like a bus station, and parts of it stink as well.

In usual fashion ridiculous waiting times for the bags to arrive. Have been waiting 1.5 hours now, time indication has been showing 1-5min for 40min, and now back to processing. CPH airport has for years been the far the worst airport when it comes to this…

Dirty, badly signposted, chaotic. Worst is the queue for passport control of 90 minutes. I knew it was bad so arrived 3 hours before my flight, and only got through 20 minutes before boarding. Gives Denmark a bad name, especially as they don’t seem to care. I’ll never go to Copenhagen again!

Security staff took my charge bank from my hand luggage . Staff told me it needed to be of a certain capacity size in accordance with the airline’s policy. When I showed them the airline’s policy which showed that my charge bank was within the airline’s regulations, he then changed his mind and said it was not within the airport’s regulations!
He either made it up as he went along or he really didn’t understand which regulations applied or both ! Staff need retraining. Really poor. Basically it’s theft. Didn’t say what happens to it afterwards.

What a mess.
Outlets given all the space so super crowded.
Very long walks and rolling sidewalks often broken.
Sometimes sent all the way to E just for passportcontrol, and then back to the gate in C....

Copenhagen Airport has some lovely boutiques and a good selection of restaurants, which gives the airport a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing.

This is the second time I’ve travelled through CPH and experienced last-minute gate changes. On this occasion, the gate was changed twice, resulting in an excessive amount of walking. The distances between gates are already considerable, and there are no moving walkways or shuttle buses to help passengers. As someone travelling while pregnant, this was particularly difficult and stressful.

The toilet facilities were also disappointing. There was a massive queue because half of the toilets were out of service, and this is not the first time I’ve encountered this issue.

I usually fly from Billund Airport, which is always clean, efficient, and easy to navigate. I expected much more from the capital airport of Denmark. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.

Used to use this airport twice a week for 20 years when I was younger and lived in Denmark. I just flew from Copenhagen two days ago. Horrible experience. They seem to have removed almost all the seating to make room for a huge number of shops all selling vastly overpriced tat. Having no seating forces passengers to walk around making it more likely they will spend money in a bar or restaurant just to find somewhere to sit.

Prices for food were extortionate. I refuse to pay $5 for a bag of crisps and about $10 for a simple sandwich.

Took almost an hour to clear passport control to leave the country. I must congratulate the passport officers for managing to 'work' so slowly. It must have taken years for them to perfect being so utterly useless at their jobs.

I'm never going back to Copenhagen as I resent being fleeced and treated like rubbish.

DIRTY AND YET OVERPRICED !!??

After an hour trying to get through customs, we are still standing in line and waiting. What a shit show !!

Over a 2 hour security line.
Docks closed, with people just sitting inside.
I do alot of business in copenhagen but this has put me off coming, i think ill try to fly into sweden and take the train to copenhagen as the airport here is very very slow.

CPH know how many passengers are arriving on flights. To have 1 Border Security agent to process ~200 people is unacceptable It took almost 85 mins to get thru the passport check arriving and just as the queue got down to around 20-30 people another 6 agents arrived to process. Sh1t planning from CPH. Stagger shift starting times or lunch breaks to cope with the influx of passengers.
Departing was just as bad. Arrive 3 hours before flight departure but only announce which gate 60 mins before flight resulting in another massive queue at the Border Control resulting in people getting anxious about missing their flights. As much as the CPH staff managing the queues said to "not stress" its not them potentially not getting home. We were only going to Edinburgh but there was people going home to San Francisco and Toronto who were panicking as the airport info said the gate was closing and they were still in the BC queue.

CPH knew about these new EU controls months in advance and it looks like its not been planned out properly to ensure no one misses their flights.
Great way to end my first trip to Denmark. NOT

This airport is mind-blowingly terrible. We arrived 4 hours before our flight and still almost missed it. American Airlines didn’t open the check in luggage process until 12:20. There were no signs, no details provided. Then we went thru security (that was quick and seamless). Then we got to passport control. Super crazy. Waited hours. It was so backed up that they continuously just had to bring in the people getting on departing flights. Calling for Boston, LA, etc. No time for shopping or eating. Haven’t even made it to gate yet….I do know I’d rather take a train to anywhere else and fly out there!

Dirty, with basically no seating areas. poor choice of shops/restaurants. Staff is rude.
