Very bad experience
Very bad experience.Dental Ezel.Instanbul. I came with pain in only one tooth, but ended up with multiple root canal treatments (around 12), 4–5 extracted teeth, and a total cost of about 8200€ instead of the originally discussed 3600€ for 28 zirconia crowns.
My front teeth are asymmetric, and after only 2.5 months part of a zirconia tooth broke off. I was told there is a 5-year warranty, but when I sent a photo, I was told to come back in person. Traveling again would cost me around 500€, and a refund was refused.
I also received no proper documentation (for implants, zircon crowns, or treatment). Later I found out the implants were Turkish (~200–250€), but I was charged 500€ per implant.
Communication was very poor, appointments were delayed for hours, I even missed my flight because of the clinic, and when I said I would leave a review, I was told they could take legal action.
I do not recommend this clinic.

Same Patient, Multiple Leads — A Transparency Issue
I’ve noticed a concerning pattern on WhatClinic regarding how enquiries are handled.
It appears that a single patient enquiry can be distributed or replicated across multiple clinics in a way that generates multiple leads from the same individual. While this may benefit the platform in terms of volume, it creates several issues in practice.
For clinics, this leads to unnecessary competition over the same patient, wasted time, duplicated follow-ups, and distorted performance metrics. Clinics may believe they are receiving unique leads, when in reality they are engaging with the same enquiry repeatedly.
For patients, the experience can become overwhelming and confusing. Receiving multiple responses from different clinics—sometimes triggered by what feels like a single action—can reduce trust and make it harder to make a clear, informed decision.
Additionally, it is concerning that communication between patients and clinics appears to be monitored or accessible by the platform. Even if this is stated within their policies, it raises serious questions around privacy, data handling, and the boundaries of a neutral marketplace.
A more transparent and fair system—where enquiries are clearly unique, controlled, and intentionally distributed—would significantly improve trust on both sides.
I believe the platform has strong potential, but refining how leads are generated and distributed would make a meaningful difference for both patients and providers.

It is common for patients to contact more than one clinic so they can compare prices, treatment options, and offers before making an informed decision. This is especially frequent in medical tourism, where patients are often considering a surgery abroad and want to review multiple providers before proceeding.
If a patient chooses to enquire with only one clinic, then only that clinic will receive the enquiry. We appreciate your feedback and will review whether we can make this even clearer for patients when they are submitting their enquiry and selecting the providers they wish to contact.
Regarding privacy, WhatClinic.com takes data protection and communication handling seriously. As explained in our terms, communication between patients and clinics by email may be sent via WhatClinic.com, and the content of these emails may be retained in order to assist patients and clinics in tracking their communication. WhatClinic helps me a lot with clinic promotion on Google, getting more overseas patients, even though some of them didn't decide to have the operations with me. I'm happy about your services.
The only reason not to give 5 stars is that I had to separately claim the cashback offer rather than it being automatic, and I rarely receive a response after submitting a refund request. Screening for a location selection error should be done before sending a message to the clinic, as my clinic is located in a remote area, not in a capital or a big city.

Regarding the cashback issue you mentioned, there are automated systems in place to filter invalid enquiries. However, due to several factors, refund requests related to location must be reviewed individually by our Refunds Team.
We acknowledge that there were delays with refund requests in the past, and we have implemented several improvements to ensure they are now processed more efficiently and within a reasonable timeframe.
A review of your account shows that you submitted six refund requests in the past three months. All of them were approved, with the most recent one processed within seven days.

People have the right to know the bad experiences of real customers so they know what they’re getting into. I booked AYT Clinic (Antalya) that I found through What Clinic’s website and couldn’t go through with the surgery due to my health but they stole £800 from me then refused to give me an invoice! What Clinic clearly knows what type of businesses they support and doesn’t want the bad reviews!

All reviews must meet our published review guidelines, which are in place to ensure they are genuine, verifiable, and comply with legal requirements. Reviews are never removed or declined simply for being negative.
Both parties, patients and clinics, must adhere to these rules. If a review does not follow our guidelines, patients are contacted by our team and supported in updating their review so it can be published. On the other hand, if clinics attempt to publish false reviews through staff members or associates, such reviews are removed, and in severe cases a clinic’s profile may be removed permanently.
Regarding your experience with AYT Clinic, WhatClinic does not handle payments, deposits, or invoicing between patients and clinics. All financial transactions are arranged directly between the patient and the clinic.
