It's always good to deal with a reputable company. A part arrived damaged and a new replacement was in the post the next day. Fantastic customer service.
I have never purchased anything from this company nor known about them until I found this morning many transactions for parts from them in my bank which were all fraudulent.
I have reported this company to the police and told my bank of the fraud.
.ie website but they are a UK based company with NO IRISH VAT number which means you get caught for duty and VAT. I refused to pay and had to order the parts from another site (louis.eu recommended).
Very misleading to have a .ie site but no Irish VAT number. Will never buy from them again.
Good website with good stock but there is a major problem. The .ie domain leads the user to believe that the website is Irish but it is actually in the UK. This means that the delivery will incur vat and customs in Ireland before it can be delivered. As a result I was caught for a €62 tax bill on top of the €204 I paid for the parts before DHL would deliver them.
They do have a note in the terms and conditions on the website but it is not very clear. With a .ie domain name I feel it was reasonable for me to assume that all Irish taxes were included in the price. I really feel that the .ie and other European domains being used by wemoto are designed to catch Irish and other European buyers out after brexit has caused wemoto to lose sales in Europe.
One other point is that some of the items marked as 'in stock' were actually not in stock which lead to a delay in shipping.
The website is good and the communication from staff was good but overall my experience was negative in the end because of the out of stock items and the hidden tax bill. Sharp practice by wemoto who were unapologetic when I contacted them and just told me I should have read the terms and conditions.
