Always a pleasure to go to Rush in Staines. You are made to feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble. Recently had my hair coloured and Naomi made sure we were both happy with the outcome. She took her time and did not rush! Ha! Ha! Highly recommended.

5 stars based entirely on the haircut received by Maggie at Richmond Rush Hair and Beauty. Second visit to this salon and first with a stylist I won’t name as he may have been having an off day. He was running 25 minutes late but didn’t mention it when he finally invited me to sit in a chair that hadn’t been cleaned after the previous client and was full of hair. My hair is fine and I wanted it cut into a short bob but he said he didn’t feel comfortable cutting ‘thin’ hair - which made me feel like dying inside. He spoke with his manager and here the miracles began. The manager Maggie said she’d cut it and it’s one of the best I’ve had. What’s more, I didn’t have to spend ages describing what I wanted. She got it and delivered a great haircut. I wholeheartedly recommend her. She’s very talented.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately this was one of the worst salon experiences I’ve had.

I asked for a natural-looking balayage, but the result was completely different from what I requested. The colour was far too light and looked very unnatural. Even more disappointing was the application technique. After just one week, I had to visit another professional to have it corrected, and I was told that the work had not been done using a proper balayage technique. Instead of a soft, blended result, the colour was applied in visible stripes, making it look like traditional highlights rather than a balayage.

Beyond the poor technical result, the overall customer experience was equally disappointing. The team seemed unmotivated and disengaged, with very little attention given to understanding what I wanted or making me feel looked after. It felt as though the priority was selling products and finishing the appointment as quickly as possible, rather than delivering quality work.

Hairdressing is both a skill and an art, and unfortunately I saw very little passion or care in either the consultation or the execution. I left disappointed, and after spending additional money to have the colour corrected elsewhere, I cannot recommend this salon.

I wouldn't recommend this salon, the colour I was given was not what I asked for. I called back and they said they would fix it for free. I was booked an appointment, turned up and told they did not have my colour in stock. The appointment was rebooked and then cancelled twice by the salon before I was eventually seen, then I was charged for the colour correction. The lady who fixed my hair was nice though.

I have been a loyal Rush customer for many years, spending a significant amount on both my own appointments and my daughters’. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Ealing salon has left me extremely disappointed.

After the salon requested that I move my appointment from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., I accommodated the change. On arrival, I was informed that the colour service I had booked could not be carried out. I accepted this and simply asked to proceed with the wash, cut and blow-dry, only to be told I would need to return at 1:30 p.m. despite having arranged my day around an early appointment.

What concerned me most was not the scheduling issue, but the manner in which it was handled. I was spoken to in a dismissive and condescending tone, repeatedly addressed as “babe”, and ultimately told, “If you don’t like it, you can leave.”

As a business owner, I understand that operational issues arise. However, professionalism is demonstrated by how those situations are managed. This interaction fell well below the standard I would expect from a premium salon, and it has left me feeling uncomfortable about returning to my local branch in Ealing.

I have been a loyal customer of Rush Hair Wimbledon for almost three years, but after this experience I will never return.

My sister booked a simple blow dry and was casually offered a hair mask. She was never told it would cost extra or what the price was. A mask that was left on for just a few minutes resulted in a bill of £128.

My mother, who has very short hair, went in for a roots touch-up and blow dry and was charged £170, including a haircut she never received.

When I questioned these charges, the salon defended them instead of addressing the complete lack of transparency.

Customers should never be charged for additional services without being told the price in advance. That isn’t good customer service—it’s a pricing practice that leaves customers feeling misled and taken advantage of.

After nearly three years as a loyal customer, I won’t be returning. I’d strongly advise anyone visiting Rush Hair Wimbledon to ask for the price of every service before agreeing to it, otherwise you may be in for a very unpleasant surprise.

My first experience to rush in Bromley today and I was looked after by Sonia. What can I say she was amazing and listened to everything I was asking what I wanted done with my hair. I absolutely love it. Thank you and I will be back soon.

I have quite a lot of hair which is super heavy. I have always had a regular straight cut but wanted to try something different. I booked myself in with Claudia for a wash, cut and blow dry. I wanted someone quite experienced for a butterfly cut as I was nervous & wanted to be in good hands in case something went wrong.

Meeting Claudia, she was lovely; welcoming, warm & quite shocked all my hair on my head was mine. Fast forward to the cut, as I usually wear my hair in a side parting, Claudia explained how the lengths would be different on each side if I stuck with a side parting. I trusted her experience & we opted in for a middle parting (which I have not worn in a while).

Once Claudia was done & showed me the outcome, I absolutely loved it! It was beautiful! Fast forward literally a month later & I am still in love with it. My hair was always extremely heavy & was quite difficult to wash, but Claudia with her amazing skills has made my hair feel so light but still gave the bounce and especially the life that was missing!

Price wise was a lot more than what I would usually pay however, with the result, service and overall feeling of the result, it was 100% worth it.

My grandaughter wanted her curly hair shorter and then straightened. We walked in and were able to have an appointment with Heather, she has styled her hair before. She made a fantastic job and my Grandaughter was thrilled, she gave good advice on how to keep the style and was familiar with curly hair. They are all so friendly in there , treated our girl like a princess. It was lovely and cool. A bonus in the 30degree heat. Offer you refreshments. It’s honestly a top hair salon. Give it a go , you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely brilliant experience - I have been to Trevor Sorbie for the last couple of years but it’s so expensive and I’m not sure it’s worth it re quality! I had a colour and cut at Kentish Town Rush Hair and my hair dresser, Nika, got my colour spot on. She was kind, informative and professional. She demonstrated a great level of expertise and knowledge - she was able to help me to carry out a hair care plan after my appointment to keep my hair healthy. I would definitely recommend.

I’ve been using Rush in Staines now for the past 4 years. Absolutely no complaints or issues. Naomi done my hair last time and I can honestly say it was the best cut and colour I have ever had! She listened to everything I wanted and did not disappoint. Unfortunately Rush have put their prices up so much recently that a full head highlights and cut is now over £200 and crazily that’s even with their 50% discount!! I couldn’t afford that this time round so booked half head, cut and blowdry with Ruby still at the extortionate cost of £154 (inc a toner that was left on my hair for all of 3 minutes!) anyway I could just tell by the way she was putting the foils in that it wasnt good. She also asked me if I usually have just bleach so I said can you double check my notes to see ….obviously she didn’t. Then she asked me if I think I needed a toner as one side looked blonder than the other!!! Ummm you’re the hairdresser! She was also having to be constantly reminded by another girl to set a timer to check my colour. She didn’t show me the back of the hair at the end and the blowdry felt very rushed most probably because she was having a 5 minute conversation with the Salon Manager at the time about shoes and Vinted which was putting her off my hair. By day 4 I had no choice but to complain. I had big chunks of bright yellow especially one side. When I got home I had to get my own scissors out and cut a chunk of hair that she had totally missed. Also one side underneath near my ear was just a completely different colour to the rest of my hair, extremely noticeable if I want to wear my hair 1/2 up. I went back and Chelsea sorted it for me, much, much better but the part underneath is still the same. If I’d paid £80 I most probably wouldn’t be so bothered but £154 for what I got was an absolute joke. Sorry but Ruby needs some extra training as you should not be charging that much for her work, it just isn’t good enough. Unfortunately Rush have lost a loyal customer as I won’t be returning!!

I couldn't be happier with my experience. My hairdresser worked incredibly hard to get my hair to the perfect colour. They were patient, professional, and took the time to make sure everything was just right. I really appreciate the care and dedication they put into their work. I would highly recommend both the salon and my hairdresser to anyone looking for amazing results.

The salon is always really friendly and I have always recieved the best haircut and colour. A special shout out to Kelly in the Bromley Branch a real professional and always super helpful. Would recommend highly.
