Not a trustworthy company

Unfortunately this is a company you can not trust i bought a stranger things model on their web site £50.99 didn't get no confirmation email or anything after a week i tried to contact them by email it took another 4 days for them to reply saying yes we recieved your order and it will be posted next week .. that week has gone and still no model or email to say it's even been posted, contacted my bank and they refunded me within 3 days ..that says a lot for this company I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your models as you will not recieve anything from this company just read through the reviews and decide for yourself. This is not a company you can trust

The rubbish bin is waiting for your Revell model…

If you have purchased a Revell model and are looking forward to building it than i have a top tip... dont... save yourself the effort and put it straight in the bin. Trust me, don't even waste glue starting it. thin blown plastic, that even their own brand glue just melts, ill fitting parts, poor quality and inaccurate instructions. I could go on. even the worst Airfix kit is 100 times better than this rubbish.

incredibly bad Model Company.

I have been appalled by Revell’s unimaginably low quality spanning from a lot of their products. I’ve used a few products from their range, including models, paints and glue. First, with the models. For most of the models, parts have been snapped off due to lack of protection of delicate parts. Instructions are quite confusing and hard to understand, though I can cope with that. Details are also absent on most models. The building process overall is boring and parts are hard to assemble, I assume through lack of planning. Now, onto the paints. They’re OK, but just not for beginners. Most of the paint just gets stuck on the bottom of the cans, and thorough mixing is needed every time it is used. Other than that, it is pretty decent. Now, onto the glue. Their glue is absolutely atrocious, especially the contacta “professional”. The glue is thick, making it hard to make detailed assembly, and squeezing the glue out is hard to control how much glue comes out. Plus, it leaks out whenever you open the cap. This happened to me multiple times, including when it sprayed it onto my model, putting glue all over the already-painted model and taking off the paint. Overall, would definitely not recommend, especially to beginners, where it can be really frustrating. Strange to think of its bad quality, despite its name. I would highly recommend picking other brands if possible (e.g Takom, Tamiya, etc) - it is worth the price difference - most Revell models are overpriced considering their quality. I highly recommend avoiding buying items from Revell

Carrera Revell NEVER AGAIN!

Carrera Revell NEVER AGAIN!
I placed an order 6 weeks ago and have already paid. To this day I have not received a shipping confirmation or tracking number, not reachable by phone, only the possibility to write an email. They only replied in English (I wrote to the german/austrian store) that they couldn't do anything (what kind of customer service?!). I have to wait until the order arrives (which will never happen, because the order is considered done since my order) and then I have to return the goods to get my money back (a product that simply does not exist).
This company is pure fooling, they already know why they write that they are overloaded and cannot take phone calls and why they have a conciliation portal!

Just building your Jaguar E Type

Just building your Jaguar E Type. I am stunned you now expect ME to drill this tiny bit of plastic to fit the hand brake. Why isn't it pre-Drilled?

Kit has been Ok apart from a few small details. Some of your drillings are the wrong size too.

Missing parts, useless instructions.

As others have said, indecipherable instructions. Kit I had was meant to be for beginners and INCLUDE the paints and glue. Why the heck would this idiotic company sell include 3 of the 8 needed glue colours in the kit is beyond me? So disappointing, never in my life will I buy anything from Revell.

Revell GmbH and Elsewhere

I bought a Revell GmbH 1/8 Jaguar E-type model kit 07390/07717, and even though the box I received was sealed and brand new, I was surprised to find a group of parts missing and not included in the box. I contacted Revell GmbH but was passed around to several Revell staff worldwide who were clueless about the inquiry. Revell GmbH listed in the kit who to contact to get parts as well as their website but somehow the Revell staff has no idea what to do about my inquiry and could not help me. Revell keeps telling me that they have no available parts?

After several weeks and several emails sent to different Revell customer service around the world, Revell finally sent the missing bag of parts on September 12, 2024 free of charge including international shipping. It is a lot of work to get this missing bag of parts but I am stuck with a non returnable item purchased internationally. If anyone has this same issue, just return the item with missing parts to where it was purchased and replace it with another item that is guaranteed complete.

The arrogance of Revell personnel is…

The arrogance of Revell personnel is just stunning.
I just built their ‘Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5’.

As a former owner of an Aston Martin DB4 vantage, which was the actual model used in the film, they just did not want to either know or admit their mistake.

Then the model does not even come with an engine!
Yet the Revell Jaguar e and c types do. Visually and in model format the twin ohc Aston engine looks exactly the same as its triple carb Jaguar counterparts.

The roof opening for the ejector seat is also incorrect. Were it to be such in the real James Bond car it would have killed all the occupants as it would not have ‘gone through the roof’.

Revell need to study what Tamiya model cars offer. Their expertise and attention to detail is far superior.
My recommendation to Revell is that they should learn to listen to their customers. I will not be recommending them to anyone.

AWFUL product

AWFUL product. The packaging promised more than the contents. The product was flimsy and tacky, the instructions were indecipherable - there was hardly anything in the box. I don't think I've bought such a disappointing product in my life. What a waste of 10 euros - it wasn't even worth 1 euro.

Mickey Mouse company

Received 2 kits as Christmas presents, complained to Revell about poor instructions, thee is no wording, nothing clear on the parts as to where different paints etc meet. One model had parts that didnt meet up and was told by technicians the kit was faulty but nothing they could do, but I had to try to get to store to replace or get credit. Managed to get to store, most helpful, got replacement kit, again exactly the same issues and same response from Revell - basically no spare parts are available in the UK, nothing they could do. My grandchildren so disappointed they cant see the models they bought for me at Christmas. Would never look at buying another kit again without a massive improvement from Revell
