This is truly the best MIDI guitar in existence. I've tried everything, for years, Fishman Tripleplay, Roland GK, Sonuus, MIDI converter apps, and even a Starrlabs Z-tar. Out of the stringed instruments, the ROR guitar is the only truly stage-worthy, that does not require that much technique adaptation to be able to control your VSTs, because of it's unique fretboard-contact technology.

Rob O' Reilly is also entirely devoted to his creation. He actually listens to his customer base, implementing guitar firmware improvements wherever he can to make the ROR guitar even more flexible.

I know it can be quite an investment for a lot of people, but trust me when I say it's for the long run: once you play it, you will not want to put it down.

I bought the RoR Expressive MIDI Bass in July 2025 and it has quickly become one of the most inspiring instruments I have ever played.
Every detail feels carefully considered and the technology inside gives you full control over the entire MIDI mapping.
As bass players we know how hard it is to achieve accurate tracking, especially on low notes, but this bass delivers instantaneous tracking and offers enough onboard settings to tailor the response to your playing style.

Even without the MIDI features you are left with a high end passive Jazz Bass. It has a brighter voice than a classic Fender thanks to its ebony fingerboard and the neck feels thinner and noticeably smoother under the fingers.

There is another aspect that deserves real attention:
During the three months between my order and the delivery, the human connection with the team was exceptional. From the assistance to the guided setup sessions everything felt personal and genuinely supportive.
We had calls where they gave me practical advice on parameter settings and we even discussed potential future features that could make the instrument even more versatile.

My Rob O'Reilly guitar is my favorite guitar. It plays amazingly and has so much it can do. Rob's always making it better through firmware updates as well. This a man and a company completely dedicated to making the best MIDI guitar imaginable.

I am a proud owner of a MIDI Pro 3, RoR Guitar’s flagship guitar. I am beyond words; being someone who has been struggling with “traditional” MIDI guitar systems (e.g.: GK-3, Fishman Triple Play, etc.), I can definitely say that the MIDI Pro 3 is a dream come true. Tracking is extremely accurate, configuration settings are to the point and playability is top-notch. Moreover, the guitar itself sounds amazingly well and is very versatile with its piezo bridge and humbuckers that can play single-coil as well. Overall, this is one of the best purchases I have ever made; definitely recommended! Customer support is also great, something that is so necessary for such a technological piece of equipment.

Rob is the best, his attention to detail and customer supports is a huge highlight. The best part of my guitar for me is the lack or latency and all the customizable options. If you have never tried a Midi guitar before I def recommend checking it out. its a whole new universe
